a lot of people who downloaded Fruity Loops with no knowledge of even makin a beat got they shine on when hyphy was at its peek.i hope they learned more then clicking on a preset kick and clap cause it seems like real music is on its way back.

that is so true... i messed with fl studio, but I'm not a hyphy kat. just tryin my hand at making simple beats... but i suck ahhaaha.

Every type of muzik has its own following. something will blow up and it will be the trend.. eventually all those trend followers jump to something else and you are left with the people that actually are dedicated to that genre.

As for lil wayne... i think he kan make it as a hyphy artist... he's jacked every other idea and obviously he's made it work.

i think hyphy died when people stopped being original
they should have been focusing on lyrics and quality over free beats and quantity

for a while it seemed like there was some "new hot rapper" comin out of wherever everyday

the hyphy market got WAY over saturated and people started to lose interest because everything started sounding the same

it also seems like alot of projects are rushed out
i dont care if i have to wait a year or two for a new album as long as when you put out the CD its a complete package that i can listen to front to back

i still dont think anyone did it better than dr. dre when it comes to albums flowing together people should take note ... i think someone said on here the other day that as an artist you should fuck with 1-2 producers for your album and i agree with that

if you listen to albums like keak da sneak diefied you can tell he didnt have very many producers on it because all the beats flowed nicely
same thing with taj he spitz new album live fast die young there is alot of heavy hittaz production on there and the album is a front to back slapper

friuty loops is pretty powerful and you can make good beats on it but i think the problem is people just download it and all of the sudden they are producers

i think you should at least learn to play piano or read music first to get a concept of what it should sound like

Weak cats like scweeze and nump ruined hyphy, and it didn't help that fab rode the yellow bus til the wheels fell off.And Rick Rock + federation fucked up trying to make a career out of it and falsely claiming they invented the genre. But that shit has been over for years, no use kicking a dead horse.

Quite Fuckin True...I mean Quoted for truth....

It may be a shameless self promotion, but click the link in my sig to hear exactly what Montroller is talking about. I made all my beats on fruity loops but I play guitar(Like Metallica and shit), Bass, keyboards and have a basic understanding of composition and theory. It shows in my beats. Lyric quality is a must too.

Mac Dre's passing was a bigger blow to the west coast then 2Pac. No doubt about it. Pac was already on when he was taken. Mac Dre was creative, original, multi-cultured, showed loved to everybody, and was always trying to grow. We'll never see anyone of his likes again....

Very true. It's similar to Belushi - Chris Farley. Very similar, but different and unique in there own ways...Comparable, but different. In that sense, yea, somebody else could come along with that same fire, but will still be compared to Dre. I agree with you though. Hip hop is at a loss right now. It's walking blindly through a dark room tryin to find a light switch. And I hate that fuckin robot thingy voice....
