Message to Manny Pacqauio...in order to BE KING...you have to fight the KING. Mayweather vs Alvarez 2. The KING of Mexico vs the Young Lion who would be KING--->

"Once former boxer and current promoter Oscar De La Hoya got wind of Mayweather’s intent, he got in contact with Manny Pacquiao’s team and confirmed that Pacquiao has no interest in fighting Mayweather this spring. De La Hoya then got in contact with Mayweather’s promoter and offered to have Canelo fight Mayweather instead. Both parties agreed, despite HBO’s dissatisfaction with the new deal, now that Canelo will be returning to Showtime."

Unless you break down "they" and "he" by the numbers...and what "undercards" your talking about...the end result is. Mayweather on the month of May and September is a part of Mexican culture...the numbers don't lie.

*In addition...just using your logic to prove my point: by saying Mayweather has an advantage with "stacked" undercards and being a headliner multiple times compared to Canelo and Cotto further solidifies why he will be fighting on May 2nd...he is a proven commodity with a solid structure...the KING.
I'm still waiting on you to answer the questions on the previous page(s) and, by the way, who and they can easily be broken down by those who appeared on the undercards.

If this is true it's big. Also no need for any of these two to fight GGG unless they have the MW belt.

I'll say this about undercards...if you have the star power like Mayweather to bring in PPV numbers in the 1 million range...you can afford to stack an undercard...if you are bringing in 300-400K PPV numbers you will probably be skimpy on who else is getting paid. So Mayweather can afford to stack it...Canelo can't...that's why Mayweather sells more PPV. What comes first the chicken or the egg? Canelo needs to get his PPV numbers up and he can then "stack" his card. Until then...Canelo can...kick rocks. May 2nd 2015 Mayweather vs Pacquiao, Cotto, Canelo or GGG.

That does make sense...but is that really why you posted it?
The article doesn't have an author...so no one wants to be accountable for the report. I posted it for fun...guessing people's first reaction "Hell nah...Cotto leaves HBO right after joining, to go back and fight Mayweather in a rematch!?!"

This I itself was priceless. Even 2-0-Sixx said..."Ya almost got me."

Again, look at who was on floyds undercards. If he wasn't fighting a Mexican he had Mexicans with a fan base or steady growing fan base on his undercards. In order for Canelo to get his numbers up he has to fight ppv worthy opponents. And this brings me to the big question, which is, out of all the fighters FLOYD has fought since signing with SHO, how many were ppv quality opponents? I mean since we are talking ppv, how many of those fighters had their own ppv?

But the real question is this, if FLOYD fights Cotto for the MW belt, and beats him, what do YOU think FLOYD should do? Defend against GGG who is the mandatory or drop the belt?

Maybe if you give us a breakdown of the revenue Cotto would get off your projected PPV sales from fighting Canelo and the projection on a Mayweather fight...we could tell you if your wrong?
Without even going in depth... Floyd stands to bank 32 mill off any fight with showtime, in which they have lost money on multiple fights on this contract. From what I remember, they've lost money on the Guerrero, and both Maidana fights. Even if Cotto/Floyd does similar numbers to the first, which might be a stretch, there isn't anywhere near as big of a margin as there was the first time they fought because of Floyds guarantee with Showtime.

The fight wouldn't do similar numbers. You had Canelo vs Mosley for a title on the undercard and also Vargas. So, who in boxing is a draw like Canelo and Mosley? You would need a fight bigger than that to hit those numbers, if not, it ain't gonna do those numbers because it's a fight we already saw.

Current status: Mayweather is the BIG DOG...I doesn't matter who he (Floyd) had on the undercard Mexican or non Mexican...he has the clout to do it...Canelo ain't on that level. Canelo say good bye to May 2nd. Canelo say good bye to Cotto. Mayweather beats Cotto for the MW strap then he either vacates or takes a chance with GGG. I personally don't think fighting GGG is necessary.

It doesn't matter who he had on the undercard? We ain't gonna get anywhere breh, forget it.

Fighting GGG is mandatory for whoever is MW champ. So, in saying you don't think fighting GGG is necessary you're of the belief that if Floyd does win the MW belt that he should vacate?

If Canelo brought in Mayweather numbers then there would be financial room to stack a card...but that is not the case. So...Canelo will wave May 2nd goodbye, especially if he fights GGG.

If he vacates it wouldn't bother me either way...I seen it done before...see: Pacquiao vs Margarito 154lbs

Floyd would obviously vacate. I'm sure him and Cotto would do a catchweight of 155, Mayweather will win via decision, then vacate his belt unless the WBC goes against their word and allows him a voluntary, which wouldn't be the first time, but he would eventually vacate, which would then kill the lineage going all the way back to Bernard Hopkins. Which was exactly my nightmare scenario I predicted would happen if Cotto beat Martinez!
