I'll give you an idea at what I think is a genius move...even if it wasn't intentional...Canelo with all is grand standing has moved Pacquaio's name to the back ground. The talk is about Mayweather, Canelo, Cotto, Pacquaio and GGG in that order. Canelo is doing a good job of selling his next fight. We aren't even concerned about who Pacquiao fights next. Pacquaio is now third or fourth string. If it's not Pacquaio vs Floyd...Manny is slipping away.
All the talk is still Mayweather vs Pacquiao.
What hurts Pacquiao if the fight doesn't happen is Top Rank literally has no more fighters for him. Everyone else worth a damn at 140-147 is with al Haymon so yeah if no Floyd he's screwed in that regard. Who is there? Vargas? Lol. Crawford and Mikey Garcia at 140? That's literally it.

I hope canelo and mayweather both fight the same night on a Mexican holiday so you can see that Floyd won't outsell canelo on those days. Unless it's PAC, canelo has those dates on lock. Believe that.

Haha yeah I had no idea how bad Sergios legs were. I said a 70% healthy Martinez whoops his ass, well that must have been a 40% Sergio because he obviously was just a shell of himself. I thought he still had something left. That does not happen to the Sergio who beat Pavlik,Williams and even Chavez.

Manny Pacquiao was updated this morning on ongoing negotiations for a potential May 2 bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr., according to Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz.
“We’re still in negotiations with Floyd’s group through Top Rank. I spoke to Manny this morning. I gave Manny what is perceived to be a counter offer from the Mayweather people,” said Koncz, who then referred to Top Rank CEO Bob Arum.
“We discussed it and now I’ve given instruction to Bob to counter their counter. We’ve been going back and forth. Bob has been negotiating with the powers that be on Floyd’s side for the past couple of weeks. There’s been offers and counter offers, and a couple of days ago Bob called me and gave me allegedly where Floyd’s side is, and I discussed that with Manny two hours ago.
“Now I’ve given Bob our response to that. I’m never overly optimistic until the contract is signed, but the good thing is that we’re still going back and forth.”

Arum is not the issue, it's Haymon. If the biggest premium network does not want to showcase Haymon's fighters it's for a reason.
My opinion on Cotto, he will fight GGG just not right now. He has to cashout on Canelo and win first. So May 2 is on. I give it Jan 14 for Floyd to announce his next opponent for Cotto vs Canelo to be official.
Making the Mayweather vs Pacquiao can literally change the way HBO and Showtime show boxing. HBO will start doing business with Haymon and any TR fights HBO does not televise can be seen on Showtime.

So GBP and Canelo decide to counter Martinez vs Chavez Jr and helps start a "cold war". GBP, at that time, had Schaefer and Haymon in full control of GBP and wanted war with TR and got it. They lost. Now Showtime is stuck with bullshit fights and Haymon fighters. Even Stephen Espinoza said Showtime has the final say on whether or not Floyd can fight om May 2. It's about big fights, leading to big money. Both the fans, fighters, and networks all get satisfied when this happens. So I guess you have Showtime as your number 1 spot to watch boxing, correct?
