Nobodies going to answer my vague laptop questions?
You lost everything on that HD including windows, if it was a harddrive failure. You just need to put a compatible HD in and reinstall windows. However I haven't done that since the days of the boot up floppy discs so I'm not sure how to do it. If its something else like the harddrive controller on the motherboard failing it'll be more extensive. Unless its a newer laptop I'd just get a new one.

Also opening a laptop can be rather tricky and you'll have to be careful. Try to find a very detailed step by step tutorial
I swear they do that on purpose. There is no logical reason there couldn't be some snapping parts to slide off to get up in there or something. Fuckers just want you to be like "well shit" and buy a new one.
