What's amazing about it is how he set it up with his left he purposely placed it to block Tito's left then instantly followed with his right. Prime Hopkins right there. All time great performance that night I'd favor that Hopkins over any middleweight in history even Hagler.

LUIS COLLAZO JOINING THE AL HAYMON STABLE
Sources close to the information have informed us that former welterweight champion Luis Collazo is the latest fighter to sign with influential adviser Al Haymon. Collazo will join light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson as the newest additions to Haymon's rapidly growing stable of fighters, which already includes Floyd Mayweather, Danny Garcia, Adrien Broner, Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Devon Alexander, Peter Quillin, Leo Santa Cruz, Gary Russell Jr., Austin Trout, Erislandy Lara, Andre Berto, Sakio Bika, Chris Arreola, Deontay Wilder, and Edwin Rodriguez, just to name a few.
Collazo is coming off of an impressive 2nd round knockout of former welterweight champion Victor Ortiz. The victory has no doubt earned him an opportunity to face any of the other top names in the division. One should not be surprised to see the Brooklyn native facing the likes of Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter, or Paulie Malignaggi in the very near future.

You called me a hypocrite for stating what was fact. Lets break down my post:
"MW." - Fact. Hopkins vs Tito took place at middleweight.
"Undefeated 40-0 Trinidad was a MW title holder himself" - Fact.
"and just destroyed MW Joppy in 4 rounds." - Fact.
"Tito was a 6-1 favorite to beat Bhop." Fact (as high as 7-1).
"Hopkins unified every belt in the division after that, Still the only man in any weight class to do so (WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF, The Ring)." - Fact.

You're a hypocrite because you were attempting to make it seem as if Tito was on equal footing with Hopkins and you know damn well he wasn't, yet you complain about bigger guys fighting smaller guys.
FACT - Hopkins is a natural MW and had been fighting in that weight class for years before he fought Tito.
FACT - The Hopkins fight was Tito's second fight in the division.
FACT - Tito only got the shot at the title because of the shitty rule that says a champ who moves up can get a shot.
FACT - Tito destroying Joppy and being highly ineffective against Hopkins has been strongly linked to illegal hand wrappings (wrapped against Joppy, busted twice by Hopkins trainer.)

What is the point you're trying to make Heresy about the Hopkins/Tito fight? That BHOP doesn't deserve credit for the win or what?

Nazim thought he put on more tape than the state allowed so he had them re-wrap his hand. It was also his right hand, bot his left hand (his money hand). This was no Margarito illegal hand wraps it was a technicality over the length of tape used on the hands. So technical that it would have been fine in any other state, like Nevada.

Don King put the tournament together to unify the titles, with Hopkins being the other title holder (IBF). The idea for King was for Tito to win, then set up a mega fight with Roy Jones. Obviously Hopkins derailed that. Point is, without Don King, Tito doesn't get any of those fights. Bernard Hopkins also had to bribe his way in the tournament and paid $50,000 out of pocket to Lou DiBella who was with HBO at the time. This was revealed when DiBella sued Hopkins after for spilling the beans amongst other things.
So let me ask you. How many Middleweight fights did Tommy Hearns have when he fought Marvin Hagler? Zero? So Hearns wasn't even a title holder at MW and his first very MW fight was against Hagler and yet Haglers greatest win is considered who? Tommy Hearns!

Adrien Broner: Should I Fight on Floyd's Undercard?

DLH already schooled Tito and laid the blueprint, give him credit for that. Tito was great but he struggled with dudes with great footwork. Even Vargas gave him pretty big trouble after getting taxed in the first round. He came back for a big part of that fight before being knocked out. And it's not Bhop's fault, but Tito was really affected by the events on 9/11 and being at the weight limit for 2 weeks was harder on him than Bhop. That's a credit to Bhop's discipline, but Tito wasn't 100% that night. I honestly don't think it would've mattered simply because of the styles, but I think that fight is a little overrated personally.
And by the way, if I remember it correctly, Richardson asked that Margarito's hands be wrapped again because there was tape on the wrist beneath the gauze which is not allowed. He has been asking for re-wraps for years as a psyche out method. I think it was before the Margarito/Pacquiao fight that the commission finally told the camps to chill out because there was way too much of those games going on. I don't think they found the plaster of paris until after the fact and after the gauze had left the dressing room if I'm not mistaken.
It's funny how everyone has their worst fight of their lives and not 100% against Hopkins isn't it? Trinidad? 9/11. Tarver? Poisoned. Pavlik? Underestimated Hopkins. Seems to me it's Hopkins that makes everyone look bad. Even when he loses.
