trips @trips that fool mixed up Lara's words. Lara said "Tell papi I'm coming" meaning tell your dad I'm coming. It seems he's calling out Floyd as well. Once Lara officially calls out Floyd lets see what happens. Canelo will snatch him up first tho

Why Canelo? Canelo is not a title holder. Lara is the #1 Challenger to Floyd's WBA belt. Why should Lara have to fight Canelo when Lara is the mandatory? You know how many times Lara has been dicked over, it's such a shame. He's been in title eliminaters for over 2 years, now he's finally placed at the #1 spot and he doesn't deserve a crack at the title? This is why boxing is retarded at times.

Floyd Mayweather to Get Ishe Smith a Title Shot against Erislandy Lara???

By Shawn Craddick

Erislandy Lara and Ishe Smith have been going back and forth on Social Media. Somebody threw out the ideal of Ishe facing Lara for his beat and Lara said it would be an easy 12 round beating. Of course Ishe came back and said Back it up. The funniest thing was when Lara responded and said, Papi is coming !!!! LOL.
Now it is up to Floyd Mayweather who is Ishe Smith's promoter to secure the fight. Should be easy to do because Floyd has AL Haymon and Lara has AL Haymon. Let's see if Floyd can pull it off.
Please let Ishe Smith go. I line him up w/ guys like K9, Mora, Tony, Spinks who for whatever reason keep getting shots for whatever reason. Please retire Ishe smith. Lara will destroy him period

Again, Lara is ranked #2 in the P4P rankings for the division and #1 to fight for one of Floyd's belts. So why the fuck should he fight Canelo now? Canelo already has a fight, Lara and Floyd DON'T.

So czar, what you're saying is you're ok with the state of boxing and people not fighting their madatories.

ANDRE BERTO EYES SUMMER RETURN
By Press Release | February 06, 2014

While sports fans from across the country convened in New York for a week of parties and fun, former two-time World Champion Andre Berto (Winter Haven, Fla.) lent his voice to two critical issues - concussion in sports and the ongoing recovery in Haiti.

Berto joined a gathering of global leaders, including the grandsons of the late Nelson Mandela, the son of Bob Marley, as well as former and current professional athletes and entertainers at the United Nations on Friday for a critical discussion of how to assist struggling nations. The panel discussed valuable opportunities and achievements that exist in the world of sport for global development. Known for his ongoing work in his native Haiti, Berto spoke to the United Nations ambassadors, diplomats, NGO and non-profit leaders in attendance about the ongoing relief efforts in the island nation and the need to assist Haiti with growing in to a completely self-sufficient country.

Berto was honored for his past philanthropic efforts and enjoyed the opportunity to speak to the prestigious group, which included Ndaba and Kweku Mandela, and Ro Marley, about his goals for his family's homeland.

"The time I spent with this inspiring and passionate group of people and the opportunity to share the importance of providing the right type of assistance in Haiti was life changing," Berto said. "I know that if we all continue to work together, we can make a real difference in Haiti and all the nations that badly need our help."

The 2004 Haitian Olympian conveyed the importance of promoting empowerment and explained that the primary goal is to provide the type of assistance that will allow Haiti to flourish without outside aide in the future. He plans to partner with the Jack Brewer Foundation, which hosted the summit, in its future efforts to grow sport and promote the health benefits of fitness.

Prior to the Global Ambassadors Summit on Thursday, Berto participated in the #C4CT Concussion Awareness Summit. Berto sat on the athlete panel and shared his feelings on how the concussion epidemic has impacted him both personally and professionally as a combat sport athlete as well as the role it has played in how he prepares for his future after boxing. He joined several active and former football players to discuss the issue and the importance of improving safety in all contact sports.

Berto closed his busy and inspirational week in the Big Apple at a fundraising event for Project Medishare at the Klein Sun Gallery. He and former Miss Haiti, Sarodj Bertin, co-hosted the Haitian art event, which showcased authentic pieces from Haitian artists. Berto couldn't leave empty handed, purchasing his favorite painting from the show for his Los Angeles area home.

He returned to Oakland on Sunday to resume training with Virgil Hunter and his team. The 30-year-old received clearance from his physician to resume boxing training in mid-January following August shoulder surgery to repair an injury he suffered in the second round of his July bout with Jesus Soto-Karrass. Berto is planning a summer return to the ring, and is currently honing his skills under Hunter's tutelage in the Bay Area.

LAMONT PETERSON WANTS DANNY GARCIA AND LUCAS MATTHYSSE REMATCH: "I KNOW I'M THE BETTER FIGHT"
By Percy Crawford | February 06, 2014

"I think that's the next step that we should take and hopefully after that, we move to welterweight and start all over again and hopefully become the #1 guy at welterweight," stated IBF jr. welterweight champion Lamont Peterson, who would love an opportunity to unify his title with undefeated WBC & WBA jr. welterweight champion Danny Garcia. According to Peterson, it's the only fight left at jr. welterweight that makes sense.

"I believe it's going to be a good fight. I don't think that it couldn't be a good fight. You have two young guys at the top of the division; it only makes sense for us to fight. It would be an entertaining fight, but I just think overall, my experience and overall skill would be the key to victory for me," Peterson explained during a recent interview with FightHype.com. He also made it clear that he's not shying away from a rematch with the only man to stop him, Lucas Matthysse.

"I feel like after I fight Danny Garcia, if I get a chance to fight him, the only other fight that I would stay at 140 for is Matthysse. So hopefully both of those fights can happen this year and I can move up," he added. "I don't surrender to no one and I know, deep down inside, that I'm a better fighter than Matthysse. The fight happened the way it happened, but I know I'm the better fighter. If we were to fight again, I believe I would win."

Exclusive: DEMETRIUS ANDRADE "LET FLOYD MAYWEATHER KNOW ATLANTA IS MY AREA" SPANK DE LA HOYA TOO

By Shawn Craddick

Demetrius Andrade captured the WBO belt last year when he defeated Vanes Martirosyan and has put the 154lb division on alert. Afterwards he let the fans and media know that he wanted to unify the belts but it seems like no one is trying to call him out or fight him for his piece of the WBO Championship belt. The only guy is a mandatory challenger Brian Rose who is from overseas. Demetrius wants the winner of Carlos Molina vs Jermall Charlo. "I've been called Carlos Molina out", stated Andrade.

Demetrius said, "I hear Floyd Mayweather talking about bringing boxing back to Atlanta. Tell Floyd ATL is my home, I run that area, we do it for the ATL. Floyd Mayweather can get it too. I'm trying to unify these belts. Tell Oscar De La Hoya he can get it too, I'd spank him also." Andrade is willing to fight anyone at the 154lb division. I asked him about Canelo or the Angulo winner and he said, "They ALL can get it. I'm the WBO Champion, come fight me, I don't run from anyone."

Andrade let me know that he's here to take over the Jr. Middleweight division and he put Mayweather, Canelo, Angulo, Molina, Jermall Charlo, and anyone else on high alert. Demetrius is undefeated in 20 bouts and 13 are by stoppage. Demetrius and Floyd Mayweather are the only two 154lbs Champions that are undefeated. Is Floyd willing to throw Demetrius in the pool for a Sept clash on PPV? We will find out soon enough.

Im not talking about now Im talking in general. I hope Lara gets his shot to. he just doesnt have the fans. Just how it is in boxing. Not my decision. Just watch the sport and enjoy it. Got Em!!

Dude go bicker to Floyd by email or sumthin. I have no control over what these fighters do. Ill enjoy the fights we get. I think Lara shouldve fought Canelo along time ago and it never happened. Now whether he gets the Floyd fight I dont know but I do know he doesnt have enough fans to get the fight now no matter how u promote it. Its a business and sometimes we dont like the outcome but thats how it is. Just move on and enjoy the fights we get. Got Em!!

I forgot Andrade had the WBO belt. Must have been a vacant belt Cuz I know Vanes wasn't a champion.
Floyd should fight him also huh? Lol Got Em!!

Tell Andrade to get a fanbase of more then 100 people before you mention Mayweathers name
Hahahah tell me about it. Got Em!!

Yes i do but it also depends on the circumstances. If the all time PPV King's mandatory is an unknown and it wont draw much and the King just signed a huge deal to deliver the big money fights than Im ok with him not fighting the unknown mandatory until the unknown makes a name for himself and gets a big fanbase. Got Em!!

The only problem with boxers not fighting mandatories is that the boxing committees are not removing belts from guys not defending their belts as often as they should. Floyds boss is making him fight big fights but Floyd is not willing to drop the titles cuz then he would really look like he's ducking fighters. So its up to the WBC, WBO, or whoever to decide what to do to with those titles not the fighters. Floyd was right in saying that there are too many belts out there, but he signed a contract to a network that doesn't fuck with TR, so now what? The best are not fighting the best. It hurts boxing in the long run
