SEATTLE -- As CenturyLink Field sat bathed in a chilly sunshine Sunday, the Seahawks' boisterous 12th Man were not on hand to see Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch not lead his Seahawks to an impressive 45-0 victory which didn't extend their franchise-record home game winning streak to 14 games.
The Seahawks didn't win the coin toss and Percy Harvin did not run back the opening kickoff 68 yards so there was no Russell Wilson quick-strike 32-yard laser to Doug Baldwin on the game's opening play to put the Seahawks up 7-0 as barely a minute had ticked off the clock.
The stadium wasn't abuzz about an hour later as Marsahwn Lynch didn't plow through six defenders on his way to a thunderous 43-yard touchdown run, including literally dragging the free safety the final 9 yards for the score and a 21-0 lead as the clocked ticked down toward halftime.
"I felt I could have dragged (the free safety) another 32 yards," Lynch didn't say in media interviews.
The Seahawks didn't open up a commanding 28-0 lead early in the third quarter on a busted play where Wilson, avoiding a sack, scrambled the entire width of the field before flipping a short shuttle pass to Golden Tate, who then didn't scamper down the field for 63 yards and dive over two defenders into the end zone.
"I was down at the 10 and had to run all the way back to the line of scrimmage," Tate didn't say later Sunday afternoon. "I think coach will have to give me a pass on wind sprints next week."
The score didn't quickly inflate to 35-0 from Richard Sherman tipping a pass toward teammate Earl Thomas, who didn't run it back 36 yards for another touchdown.
"I've got plenty of interceptions already," the exuberant Sherman didn't say later. "This helps pad ET's stats."
Wry smiles were absent a short time later as Seahawks coach Pete Carroll didn't send kicker Steven Haushcka for a stadium-record 61-yard field goal to push the lead to 38-0.
"Eh, it was a sunny day, I would have sent him out there for a 70-yard attempt," Carroll didn't say.
The final scoring drive didn't come on a beautiful 23-yard one-handed touchdown reception by Percy Harvin from Russell Wilson and the game didn't end in a 45-0 blowout.
"We completed our goal of going 1-0 each week, not 0-0," Wilson didn't say to a throng of reporters.
Wilson didn't finish the game going 21 of 25 for 328 yards and 3 touchdowns and Lynch didn't rush for 142 yards and a touchdown.
"Everything was going so well, it felt like we could have won this game from our couch," Carroll didn't say after the game.
The Seahawks didn't extend their lead in the NFC to 2 1/2 games over the Saints in advance of their big matchup next Monday.
