Fuck him. After all the shit the Hawks have faced with this, and here he goes and does that during a 10-1 season. Fuck him, get rid of him. I have all the faith in the world in John Schneider to find some felon playing arena football in Romania or some shit that will be less of a let down the Thurmond. fuck him

It's really fucking bad timing. Finally everyone is healthy (besides browner) and this happens right before the toughest stretch (Saints, 4 @49er s). The offense is going to need to be playing amazing. Wilson, Lynch, Harvin are going to have to be playing lights out

who the hell knows.. im trying to be positive about this which goes against my temperament lol... but hear me out. remember last year when browner was out because of a PED suspension the last four regular season games? it was byron maxwell and jeremy lane who stepped in. and yea, we won those games big time. i don't remember if they were getting torched or not but the offense seems to have come back to life last week and the starters are back, so if we start throwing up 50 points a game again or fire on all cylinders like the end of last season we'll be gravy lol. maxwell and lane might see thurmonds job as wounded and will smell the blood like sharks and go after it and really step it up to get that job. its just the nature of the league and seattles all about competition, and thurmond is a free agent next year. i don't know what he tested for or got caught with, cant find any articles clarifying it, but they say it wasn't for PED's. hope it was worth it walter might have cost himself a new contract

Speaking in a Monday radio interview, coach Pete Carroll admitted the Seahawks might re-sign free agent CB Antoine Winfield.
"He's knows his way around," Carroll said wryly. Winfield would be an excellent stopgap for a team missing Brandon Browner (groin) and Walter Thurmond III (suspension), but the price would have to be right for Winfield to end his "retirement." He's not going to chase a championship out of the goodness of his heart.

Sources tell FOX Sports that the Seahawks have contacted free agent CB Antoine Winfield.
It's a no-brainer move for the Seahawks. Brandon Browner (groin) is out indefinitely and Walter Thurmond has been suspended four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Winfield, now 36 years old, spent training camp with the Seahawks but said he was retiring just as word broke that he was going to be released. The chance to go to the Super Bowl could entice the three-time Pro Bowler to lace up the cleats again.

lol they suspended Browner for a year.

Appearing on Monday Night Countdown, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Seahawks CB Brandon Browner has been suspended one year for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

NFL Network's Mike Silver was partly right; he initially reported Browner was facing an eight-game suspension for violating the league's policy on PEDs. Silver then changed his report and said Browner was facing some sort of suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Browner is appealing the ban and is going through that process at the moment. It's a colossal blow to the Seahawks' defense. They'll now be without both Browner and CB Walter Thurmond III (four-game suspension) for at least the next four games. Thurmond III will be back for the playoffs. Browner now won't be eligible to return until Week 13 next season at the earliest. He's also set to become a free agent in the spring and has a lengthy record of violating league rules. The Seahawks reportedly have no plans to re-sign him. Browner turns 30 next August.

Free agent CB Marcus Trufant worked out for the Seahawks on Monday.
Trufant, 33 next month, spent the first ten seasons of his career in the Great Northwest before signing with the Jaguars this past offseason. He was a part of Jacksonville's final cuts and has been on the street ever since. The Seahawks are trying to replace CBs Walter Thurmond III and Brandon Browner. Thurmond III has been suspended four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy, while Browner is reportedly facing a suspension of his own.

On the radio They are saying browner is facing a one year suspension and it's a non PED. His contract is up this year so safe to say he's done as a seahawk for good. He's hurt anyway and likely wouldn't return this year or possibly late playoffs.

The Thurmond suspension actually hurts the most since Saints and Niners are next.
