It's not boxing anymore it's street fighting. Overrated fighters that only look good against fighters that stand infront of them like a punching bag. Commentors that talk shit about any fighter that actually has boxing skills and use defense in the ring. Judges that don't have a clue on how to score a fight. Ref's that don't know how to do there job control the action in the ring. Dumb ass fans that don't know shit about boxing and only care about KO's and bash any boxer that uses boxing skills (you know hit and don't get hit back). If I want to see unskilled bums throwing looping punches all night I will watch MMA or WorldStarhiphop. But even in MMA guys are getting more skills in there stand-up and actually using defense now. Sorry for the rant..

Not sure why Manny's even being brought up here but I don't think it's as easy as saying "oh this a Top Rank thing". It's a sad thing that happens in boxing all over the place under all promoters. Think about the most heinous recent robberies and it's usually one guy was applying useless pressure and getting picked off with ease that got the decision.

It happens in MMA as well (see Kampmann Vs. Sanchez). Judges don't seem to register landed shots instead just look at punches thrown. One judge on FNF had the Katsidis Vs. Mensah fight a draw because Mensah wasn't running forward getting his face punched off by Katsidis.

You weren't saying this when Bradley got 2 wins in his hometown. You said Bradley deserved those wins.

But now Rios and Top Rank are at it again?

Make up your mind pimp!
I think you are talking about Devon Alexander and not Bradley. I had Devon winning two close fights against Kotelnik and Matthysse. Your boy Rios got outboxed and exposed. Rios only won 3-4 rounds at best. Not even close to the Devon fights.

my bad.......yes Alexander.

Everyone knows he was given those gifts and you were the only person saying he won those fights. Granted, I haven't seen the Rios fight. If he lost, he lost, but he's never going to admit that he did. But us as fans are ignorant to sit back only cheer when "our fighters" get a bad win, verses when other fighters do.

I'm just saying, you don't like Rios........ok.

Top Rank isn't the only team that get's decisions to do their way.
Speak up when your team does it too.

An example that jumps out of my head real quick, is that Mayweather fighter who fought under the Mayweather-Ortiz card (I think). He got beat and everyone who saw it knew it. But guess what? He got the judges to give him the call.
It's because Mayweather was calling him the future of boxing and all that bullshit.......right?

^^I have no idea what Mayweather has to do with Bum-Bum Rios being outboxed and exposed. There is a big difference between Devon winning two closes fights, and no even winning 4 rounds clealy Rios getting a gift win. Most of the people saying that Devon got two home cooking wins, are the same people discredtting the boxing lesson he just gave Maidana. I score boxing matches round by round and the person that wins the most rounds or Ko's the other guy wins the fight.

This is how i scored the Devon vs Matthyse the fight- Devon won rounds 2,3,5,6, and 9. Matthysse won rounds 4,7,8, and the 10. Plus the extra point for the knockdown and round one could've gone either way. I just don't see a robbery at all. Matthysse gave up too many early rounds and losing the 9th hurt him. You can score the Devon vs Matthyse fight for yourself it was a close fight that could've went either way not a robbery at all.

You're right about one thing I don't like Rios at all. He's overhyped, overrated punching power, he has no defense, and he can’t adapt at all in the ring. He talks a lot of shit for someone that can't even make weight two times in a row. People talked all that crap about Kirkland in the Molina fight, but in the 10th Kirkland came on hurt Molina and scored a knockdown. Rios just looked confused all night and didn't do nothing all fight but walk forward and catch punches with his face.

naner is right judges these days do typically always favor the aggressor.

as far as robberies its silly to say top rank is the problem. james kirkland over Molina was golden boy. paul Williams over Lara was Dibella. Tavoris Cloud over Campillo was Don King. juan Diaz over paulie was golden boy. its happening with all promoters, the house fighter, the name fighter nearly always get the nod. so its the system. when judges are being paid by promoters that's a problem. sure the promoters are paying the athletic commission and they in turn pay the judges but that money is still coming directly from the promoters pockets.

They made it sound like Abril was giving him a boxing lesson and taking him to school. It's easy to look like that when you don't engage. He won a boxing match. Abril did great. I just don't know about "worst decision ever", "Rios only won 2 rounds", etc. It was bad, but not one that I would lose sleep over.

I do agree with Bigface on the exposure. Not in regards of the overhype, but mostly about being one dimensional and not having a plan B. Horrible game plan.
EXPOSED I guess you changed you mind again. LOL...

You make no sense at all. Arum already stated that Rios will be fighting Manny or Marquez in 2013. You are a cornball that don't know what you're talking about. Proven once again

Arum on Rios vs. Pacquiao/Marquez, Mayweather, More

Article Link - Arum on Rios vs. Pacquiao/Marquez, Mayweather, More
By Rick Reeno

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is seriously considering the possibility of a fight between Brandon Rios (31-0-1, 23KOs) and the winner of the upcoming welterweight clash between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, which takes place on December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The real target, in terms of action, is Pacquiao vs. Rios. Even if Pacquiao is defeated in December, a fight with Rios could still be made.

"Pacquiao and Rios would be an unbelievably huge draw because people would know that they would see crazy, wild action," Arum said.

Rios is willing to fight Pacquiao at any weight between 140 and 147-pounds, says Arum. Rios returned to the ring on Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California - and he stopped Mike Alvarado in the seventh round of a classic back and forth war.
"Obviously I would have to first talk with Pacquiao and Marquez but I would think that it would be a big possibility [for Rios to fight the winner] - and if we can't do it than maybe we'll do a rematch [with Alvarado]," Arum said.

Proven wrong again now just stop it and shut up already.. You're just wrong.

I honestly wouldn't mind Rios vs Pacquiao. it would be highly entertaining.

just watched the Rios fight and man he can take a punch. he's good for the sport. obviously most defense fighters or a good boxer will beat him, like Abril did, but that's part of the game. boxing would suck of everyone was a defensive wizard.

If you are an elite fighter you will breakdown a defensive wizard. You didn't like Ortiz vs Mayweather but you have no problem with Rios vs Manny?? Wow the standards for Manny fans have went way down. lol. Rios vs Manny would be an all action fight until the end. You know I would watch it..
