This wasn't even an argument / debate whatever. Boxing is now a business and no longer a sport. Nuff said outty 5!
if floyd mayweather or bernard hopkins or anyother skilled defensive fighter fought that exact same fight Abril did everyone would say how it was a schooling & a great performance. Only difference here is Abril is a nobody in the game and that's why Rios got the decision.

The only fault one can say about Abril is he's not very entertaining, but last time I checked you don't win fights by entertainment. Hopkins, Floyd, all the great defensive guys have stinkers from time to time.

I don't see Mayweather fighting Canelo until 2013. If Berto beats Ortiz, I see Mayweather fighting him. 2013 I see Mayweather fighting Canelo then Martinez.

^ Remember he's going to jail for 30 - 90 days. So a Sept date is pushing it. If he gets out in 30 - 45 days I can see him fighting in Sept. He will more then likely fight in Nov Berto or the winner of Khan vs Peterson..

forgot about that. we'll see what happens I think he'll be out in a week or two.

based on what he said he wants to fight 2-3 times this year so I'm thinking he definitely wants a fight at the end of the year and Canelo is the easiest fight to make he wants floyd next, both represented by golden boy and I'm sure it will sell very well.

I think the next hurdle will be that Floyd will win cotto's 154 pound belt and he's going to stay there and pac obviously isn't going up to 154. That's what I think. But you're right pac is out the door of boxing pretty soon, he's already saying god told him to retire or some shit. He wants a higher political position next.

The Marquez fight was quite refreshing after the robbery we just witnessed. JMM looks great for a 38 year old

Fuck the title are they gonna reimburse him on the $50,000 to win money? Or the better money fight that his win over a hyped guy like Rios should've brought? Couldn't have a good boxing weekend without a shit decision though. Boxing isn't scored over landing punches anymore, defense and technique don't seem to matter for much anymore. Just wing punches and hitting the guys gloves and arms while he jabs you up and pops you with clean right hands and you're sure to get a decision because you're moving your arms more. Fantastic.
