Marquez weighted in at 142 and Mayweather was146lb. Please telling me how an 4lb weight advantage for Mayweather made him give Marquez a boxing lesson. Mayweather didn't use his size to wear down and beat Marquez he outboxed him and put on a boxing clinic.
Mayweather weight on fight night is 150lb by the way. So gaining 3lbs over night is a weight huge weight advantage??
FYI, Mayweather was 150lb on fight night against Ortiz, and Ortiz was 162lb, but we saw your boy Ortiz get put to sleep for headbutting and he out weighted Mayweather by 12lbs
At that weight, 4 pounds is a lot of weight...if they were heavyweights it wouldnt matter much but for the smaller guys it does make a difference. Mayweather outboxed JMM, but to act like 4 pounds is nothing is Damn near retarded.
I believe Manny always wanted to fight Floyd. I believe he still does.
It's the people around him that won't let him. Realistically, if you were his manager or adviser would you? I wouldn't...
I would if I believed he'd win, and I wouldn't if I thought he'd lose. It's a good business decision if you think he'd win, and bad one if you'd think he'd lose.

You just reinforced my point 4lbs didn't mean shit because Mayweather didn't use his weight against Marquez to lay on him and wear him down, he just gave Marquez a boxing lesson. Now the people you should be calling retarded are the people that still say that the 145lb catchwieght didn't hurt Cotto against Manny. Now those are your retards. Weight does matter in boxing that's why they have weight classes. But to tell me that Manny and Mayweather are not the same size when I have posted up photo proof is just dumb. There fight night weight are 3lb-4lbs apart.
Mariusz Wach (27-0) vs Wlad Klitschko (58-3), November 10th. Wach will be the first person Wlad has ever fought who stands taller than him (Wach is 6' 8, 245-250 pounds, 82" reach). And amazingly he's not a fat slob. He's slow as shit though. Word is he's training like a beast. Has a nice shiner in a pic below:

Broner: DeMarco won’t be able to touch me
Published October 4, 2012 | 39 Comments
top stories boxing news : Broner vs. DeMarco Antonio DeMarco Adrien Broner By Rob Smith: Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) isn’t worried in the least about the so-called huge power of his opponent WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) going into their fight next month on HBO at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The way that the 23-year-old Broner sees it DeMarco isn’t going to be able to land his big his big power shots in the fight because Broner will pick them off or make him miss entirely.
Broner said to RingTV “I don’t think that this guy [DeMarco] wll be able to touch me…He’s going to try to come in and do some different things…but at the end of the day once you get hit… you back to what you know.”
I really don’t see DeMarco doing anything different than what he’s always done. If DeMarco is going to try anything different in this fight it’ll probably be in trying to put more pressure on Broner by cutting off the ring and forcing him to fight in an all out war. That’s about the only thing that DeMarco can really tweak in his game. He’s not real fast and he’s not quick on his feet. His game is already 100% pure offense, and the only thing he can do any different is to fight harder or back off.
Somehow I don’t see DeMarco doing that because Broner will pick him apart with his faster hands and quick single shots if he tries that. It’s pretty obvious that DeMarco will try and use the blue print that former Broner opponents Daniel Ponce De Leon and Vicente Martin Rodriguez created by throwing a lot of punches at Broner and pressuring him constantly. Broner stops punching sometimes when his opponents throw a lot of shots. He covers up and waits for an opportunity to land a big counter shot. DeMarco is going to get badly hurt if he tries to beat Broner by throwing a massive amount of shots. I see this as a fairly easy for Broner. He’ll catch the upright DeMarco with a big shot and then finish him off with a flurry. I can’t see this lasting more than six rounds.
On the undercard of the Broner-DeMarco fight will be heavyweight contenders Seth Mitchell vs. Johnathon Banks in a scheduled 12 round bout. Look for Mitchell to KO Banks within four or five rounds. Banks has good skills but he’s susceptible to getting hurt from big shots, and his stamina isn’t the greatest. I don’t why Banks moved up in weight from cruiserweight because he wasn’t spectacular even at that weight, and heavyweight he’s going to be in trouble.
Arum: If Mayweather wants to fight Pacquiao on April 20th, great!
October 4th, 2012 | Post Comment
Mayweather Pacquiao Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Bob Arum manny pacquiao floyd mayweather jr By Chris Williams: Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao’s promoter, has already scheduled Pacquiao for April 20th after Pacquiao fights Juan Manuel Marquez on December 8th. Arum put the date in without thinking in terms of a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight. The fight is there for Mayweather Jr. if he wants to fight Pacquiao on that date, but if not then he’s out of luck.
Arum told the LA Times Nobody’s even talked to Mayweather. If Mayweather wants to fight, great. Manny will fight anybody. He [Pacquiao] doesn’t want to fight in May, and the last date available in Spring is April 20th.”
Well, when if ever Pacquiao and Arum really want the Mayweather then they’ll have to wait before scheduling dates. It just looks like neither are too seriously interested in fighting Mayweather Jr. right now. I expect that will change with an additional loss for Pacquiao. Another loss and I can bet you Arum will be asking Mayweather what date he would like in a sweet voice. It’s weird how things change when ones career is sinking like the Titanic.
Right now, Pacquiao has lost his last fight, but you have to consider that his fight with Marquez last November was a loss as well. That makes two consecutive losses. If Marquez beats Pacquiao on December 8th, then that’ll be three straight losses. Somehow, I think Arum will be looking to get the Mayweather by then because the chances of cashing out will be sinking quickly for him if he waits.
If Arum chooses to keep Pacquiao fighting other guys like Bradley and Marquez over and over, Pacquiao could end up playing out his career string against those guys if they both beat him back to back. At that point, if Arum still hasn’t made the Mayweather in between, he’ll have lost his chance. All that money that could have been made will have been drizzled away by not making the right career moves. This is why I think it was highly odd that Arum went ahead and scheduled Pacquiao to fight on April 20th without consulting with Mayweather first. That move could end up costing Pacquiao a ton of money by flushing the Mayweather fight down the drain
So Mayweather a guy that never balloons/add more then 3-4lbs after weigh-in, some how ballooned up 20lb heavier over night to fight Marquez. lol It's funny that you fail to see that Marquez moved up the same weight to beat on Manny. By the way Marquez's fight night weight was 148lb for the Manny fight just to prove u wrong again that Marquez does add weight on fight night. But let me guess Marquez didn't add weight on fight night again Mayweather for the only time in his career RIGHT??? You are a Ortiz fan so being retarded is in your DNA. They are the same damn size. You have photo prove in front of you, but you choose to make shit up.

"Although next time out, hopefully he'll pick on somebody his own size."
"Mayweather overpowered the smaller, lighter Juan Manuel Marquez for an unanimous decision Saturday night, maintaining his perfect record in his comeback from retirement."
"Still, his impressive effort couldn't be viewed without weighing the obvious disadvantages in height and strength faced by the talented Marquez, a 130-pounder just 18 months ago who moved up two weight classes for this once-in-a-career payday at the MGM Grand Garden."
"Marquez is tough as nails," Mayweather said. "He's a great little man. He was really hard to fight, and he kept taking some unbelievable shots."
Mayweather even says it himself you dumb fuck.
"Mayweather refused to re-weigh himself Saturday night, so the true size of his advantage might never be known. Fighters often gain several pounds between the weigh-in and their bouts."
"But his size advantage was obvious from the opening bell, when it became clear Marquez would struggle just to get close enough to throw good combinations."
Marquez says...."When I hit him, he laughed, but I knew he felt my punches," Marquez said. "We tried to work the speed, but the difference was the weight."
"A Mayweather-Pacquiao fight would be the biggest in the sport, but a more natural opponent also wants a little Money."
"Juan Manuel Marquez has never fought at a weight greater than 135 pounds. He had the chance Friday to step onto the scale before tonight's bout at an agreed-upon limit of 144 pounds. Marquez weighed 142."
"Mayweather has fought as heavy as 154 pounds, and there has been discussion in the Marquez camp that Mayweather will weigh as much as 160 tonight -- an 18-pound disparity"
"This fight didn't figure to feature a lot of action, pitting a defensive specialist (Mayweather) vs. a career counter-puncher (Marquez). But the obvious difference in size (Mayweather three inches taller) and weight between the two fighters was the overriding factor"
I could go on n' on here but I don't feel like going all I Puloluki or whatever his name is on you just to prove my point.
You can continue to argue your point like you always do but EVERYONE here knows your wrong and you still don't care. Keep on thinking your right til the end of time for all I care.

Mayweather has fought as heavy as 154 pounds. Mayweather fought 2 times at 154lb. Against ODLH- Floyd weighed 150lb and against Cotto- Floyd weighed 151lb. Again you want to hear and see whatever you want. Just watch on Dec. 8th when Marquez fight night weigh will be 148lb then what are you going to say then?? These guys are all the same damn size just stop it already.
FYI, Mayweather called Hatton a great little fighter and Hatton is the same size as Mayweather too.
Cotto: Arum only offered $6.5 million to fight Pacquiao, not $13 million
October 5th, 2012 | Post Comment
By Chris Williams: Miguel Cotto says he was offered only $6.5 million to fight Manny Pacquiao in a rematch plus a share of the pay per view revenue, not the $13 million that Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum has been talking about offering Cotto. Additionally, Cotto said that he would have had to fight Pacquiao at a catchweight handicap of 150 lbs because Pacquiao didn’t want to fight at 154, which is where Cotto is fighting now.
Cotto told Dan Rafael of ESPN “The only offer Top Rank ever made us was the same money in 2009…We fund it kind of funny. That was the reason we decided not to face Pacquiao. That, and they also wanted me to go down to 150 lbs and give him [Pacquiao] the same advantage that they gave Pacquiao in 2009, a catchweight.”
Cotto said that Arum never spoke to him about the $13 million for the Pacquiao rematch. Instead, Cotto says it was the exact same deal that he got for the Pacquiao fight from 2009, and he didn’t like that and didn’t understand why Arum would do this.
I don’t blame Cotto for turning down the rematch with Pacquiao. Why would Arum offer the same deal to him as he received in 2009? That doesn’t make sense, especially with the huge paydays Pacquiao is receiving. It would look funny Cotto getting only $6.5 million while Pacquiao is making over $20 million. And then to top it off there would be the old catchweight handicap thrown in. So in other words, Cotto would have to drain down to 150 and possibly come in weight drained for the Pacquiao fight.
We already know it’s much easier for a fighter to move up in weight than it is for them to come down weight. So I can’t blame Cotto one bit for turning down the Pacquiao rematch. I wish Arum and Pacquiao a lot of luck because they’re going to be kind of limited in terms who they can fight after Pacquiao’s fight with Juan Manuel Marquez on December 8th. I guess they can fight Tim Bradley again or even Marquez, but it gets old. How many times will boxing fans pay to see these fights?
Chavez Jr: I never smoked marijuana, I used it with tea
October 5th, 2012 | Post Comment
Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez Chavez Jr Martinez julio cesar chavez jr By Dan Ambrose: Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is claiming that he never smoked marijuana before, and that his positive test results for the drug from his last fight against Sergio Martinez last month was due to marijuana that Chavez Jr. had drank with tea aver speaking with a medical doctor to treat his nerves.
Chavez Jr. said to the Record.com.mx “In California it is legal cannabis (marijuana), so I was told, it would help me sleep and relax, and when I checked with the doctor told me that the only problem was the smoke, so I made a tea or few drops … and that’s what I took, but I have never smoked marijuana…I have problems with nerves…I am not a drug addict.”
This is interesting because it doesn’t matter whether Chavez Jr. smoked the marijuana or used with tea. He needed to let the World Boxing Council and the Nevada State Athletic Commission both know that he was planning on using the drug to help treat his nerves. It appears that Chavez Jr. failed to do this. As for the medical doctor that Chavez Jr. says he spoke to, I imagine they’re going to check to verify that this actually happened. However, I don’t see it as having any bearing on his likely upcoming suspension that will be handed down by the Nevada Commission.
Some boxing fans may see Chavez Jr. as trying to do some damage control by now after all this time denying that he smoked the marijuana.
I Don't Know How These Boxing Promoters Can This S*** With A Straight Face
By Salvador Rodriguez
The co-promoter for middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is waiting for a hearing date from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Chavez tested positive for marijuana after his September 15th decision loss to Sergio Martinez. Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions has already requested a hearing date. He doesn't expect a long suspension for Julio. If he were making the decisions, he wouldn't punish Chavez for the infraction.
"I'm not one to assess penalties, but the levels [of marijuana] that were found were very low and more than a month before the fight [he was tested] and there wasn't anything in his system. If I were the commission I wouldn't even sanction him," Beltran said.
"If Nevada decides to suspend Chavez, we hope to be out of action for four or seven months, no more...a year would be too much. Not long ago a UFC fighter tested positive for marijuana, with high levels, and the commission suspended him for four months. Chavez Jr. has the full support of Zanfer. He is someone with character, a winner, and an example to the sport. He's done a lot for Mexico and has our total support."
Beltran is confident a rematch with Martinez will happen in 2013.
"The rematch with Martinez is a fact. It will happen in the first quarter of the coming year. Julio is ready. All you have to do is watch [what happened to] 'Maravilla' when he fell to the canvas - he hurt his wrist, his knee. A [single] round was enough for Julio to hurt him [like that]," Beltran said.
Zab Judah foolish to leave Main Events
Wednesday, October 3, 2012
Keith Idec, The Record

If Zab Judah wasn’t aware of what karma can become before Tuesday, now he knows.
A purse bid was held at the IBF’s offices in Springfield for a junior welterweight title fight the infamous sanctioning organization ordered between its 140-pound champion, Lamont Peterson, and Judah, its No. 1 contender. Only one company bid for the right to promote their fight.
That company, Headbangers Boxing, is operated by the family of Barry Hunter, the man who trains Peterson and helped save him and his younger brother, Anthony, from homelessness once upon a time in our nation’s capital. Hunter bid $50,000, the minimum allowed in accordance with IBF rules.
Here’s where Judah learned an invaluable lesson, quite the hard way.
Had he remained loyal to Main Events, the Totowa promotional company that helped resurrect his career when the former Teaneck and Closter resident rejoined it in 2010, Judah would be paid what he’s worth for the Peterson fight. Little Falls’ Kathy Duva, Main Events’ chief executive officer, negotiated a $1.2 million purse for Judah’s ill-fated fight against Amir Khan, in which Judah performed so poorly 14 months ago that it seemed this perpetually fortunate fighter had spent the ninth life of a curious career beset by one disappointment after another.
Yet there was Duva again, landing the talented southpaw another opportunity to fight for the very same IBF belt he lost to England’s Khan, who lost it to Peterson. To his credit, Judah (42-7, 29 KOs, two NC) exposed Detroit’s Vernon Paris (26-1, 15 KOs, three NC) as a byproduct of mostly masterful matchmaking en route to a ninth-round technical knockout win March 24 in Judah’s native Brooklyn.
Judah, 34, took short money for that fight ($25,000) because he was to be paid on the back end against Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KOs).
Then he got greedy.
His contract with Main Events expired in July. Judah left the company again, this time for friend/former opponent Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was supposed to start a promotional company with his friend-turned-adversary 50 Cent.
The Mayweather-50 Cent company imploded before it promoted its first card. That leaves Judah to fight for $12,500 — the mandatory challenger’s 25 percent take of the winning IBF bid — or wait it out.
Say what you will about how Arturo Gatti lived his life outside the ring, but the late legend was fiercely loyal to Main Events throughout his career, just as Duva and her staff were to Gatti. Hall of Famer Pernell Whitaker still has that type of relationship with Main Events.
It’s a shame Judah, who considered Gatti a friend and claims Whitaker as his idol, wasn’t paying attention.
