And they already owned the land. It was my great-great-great grandmother who was a dumbass. I forget the exact story but she didn't want to spend a few hundred dollars (which yeah I know was a lot back then) for something and instead let the bank take the land.
My dad use to work at hp, and interviewed with Bill Gates. He turned down the job because he didn't want to be payed in primarily stock options, and had a family to feed.
Wish I could have been one of those people that purchased google stock back in 2004. Or one of them lucky ass regular employees that became insta-millionaires as soon as the IPO hit
