If Ortiz's head is right...I see him beating Broner by split...and pushing Canelo and stopping him. I know that sounds crazy...and he'd be the underdog in both fights...I'd bet $100.00 on the odds.

Ortiz-Canelo would be a huge PPV draw for Canelo because people still love Ortiz and think he got cheated somehow.......

Mayweather actually did him a small favor knocking him out the way he did......believe it or not. Made Ortiz a victim.....

Naaah...Ortiz ain't no victim...he's a dirty fighter...but I agree Mayweather may have helped him because every body wants to see Ortiz in his next fight...will he get knocked out...will he quit...he's become such a joke...but you just wanna watch him and see if he can pull it out...because he has talent...and that compelling issue is what can bring people out. I definitely want to see him fight...it's kinda like the Zab Juda situation but not as worse.

If Ortiz' head is right lol. Dude said he's a tree, and did a commercial for "Face Lube", his head will never be right!!!
I think one Ortiz's biggest problems is he isn't totally dedicated to boxing.

During his biggest fight (camp) he became a rapper, a underwear model, and a philanthropist......and now look at him he is Dancing, Cologne salesman, etc

Floyd is 1000000% a boxer. You don't ever hear about him wanting to rap, act, sing, model, or any of that other bullshit. And the truth is that he could do a movie, song, at the drop of a dime if he wanted. People would hire him in a minute.

You got to respect that.

It's true you really have to give boxing your life to stay on top. Look at Floyd and Hopkins. As soon as Oscar started doing a million things he started losing. Pacquiao too (governor, crappy movie star, singer etc etc etc). Pacquiao was better when he stuck to gambling and fucking hoes.

Ortiz though showed moments of a weak mental state before he started doing shit, remember against Maidana he was talking about quitting boxing. He's always been a little weird.

I can understand Pac a little bit though because he started doing these things toward the end of his career not in his prime.....

Ortiz on the other hand......

Honestly, if anything, that is what scares me about Broner......the kid is stupid talented but how focused is he on perfecting his skills and god given ability? Mayweather without a doubt was and still is the hardest worker when it comes to preparing......

I know Broner does this rapping thing on the side and I think he needs to chill a bit with it. Cause God didn't bless him with that ability.....

Danny Garcia thinks he's a rapper too haha. Actually I remember when Floyd had a few rap songs and started his own record label. Luckily that didn't go anywhere lol.

The only boxer I can think of that was halfway decent was Roy Jones. Although Rigondeaux has some slick freestyles too, he's crafty and fast with his words just like his fighting style.

But yeah I get your point. Broner is built like a tank so it appears he works hard. Although I remember him trying to be like Floyd posting pictures of Twinkies and junk food before a weigh in but his dumbass didn't make weight! Genius.

Floyd Sr. is saying Floyd will only fight Canelo at 147. No exceptions. Meanwhile Leonard Ellerbe is talking about Khan being next possibly. If true Floyd just isn't challenging himself anymore. I think that's what seperates other greats like Hopkins & Roy Jones from Mayweather. They took risks, they did amazing things and were up for big challenges.

Hopefully Ellerbe is just talking out of his ass though.

Floyd is about getting paid first. He's a business man now, highest paid athlete. Can't knock him for putting money first. His legacy is cemented. I wouldn't go above 147 if I wasn't comfortable either since he is now the shot caller. He went up to fight Oscar at 154 to make the fight happen, he doesn't have to concede anymore.

If you want to fight Floyd, you have to fight on his terms now that money is first!

Roy Jones?? Who the heck did he beat and challenge himself to?? Dude again Floyd aint gonna fight no dude that weighs 25 pounds more than him. Its just not smart. How is that challenging himself?? Canelo needs to challenge himself and fight in a weight class that he should fighting in and stop fighting smaller cats. Obviously Mayweather wants to fight Canelo but wants to make sure the weight isnt such a huge difference.

As for Khan, while he doesnt have a chin he is probably the quickest and one of most skilled fighters out there. he could pose problems with his quickness. Also besides Canelo its probably the next biggest money fight for Mayweather. I think it would do more numbers than the Guerrero fight because Khan has a big following and is more popular. I honestly think Mayweather wouldve fought Bradley/Marquez etc....if they werent fighting each other though so the options are some what limited. Got Em!!

Bernard Hopkins and James Toney for starters. Also moved up to HEAVYWEIGHT and won a title (in which he was outweighed by 35 pounds).

There really is NO way to justify a Khan fight, honestly its embarrassing.

Floyd can beat Canelo at 154, that's the sad part. But as long as Showtime is paying him a min of $32 million a fight no matter who the opponent is what we will get is low risk fights. That's the reality of the situation it appears.
