wrong. it all depends from pitcher to pitcher and game to game.
1. you're obviously a lincecum hater calling his mechanics horrible
2. pitch #1 is usually more stressful than pitch #100 because they arent comfortable yet, again this varies from pitcher to pitcher.
3. pitch #120 could be the exact same as #100, it could be better, it could be worse. regardless of mechanics? you're retarded. if mechanics were bad and then good it would obviously be different.
4. many pitchers have thrown 120-130 and been in the zone and said they could have easily thrown 30 more. good mechanics.
ever heard of warren spahn? in 1963 he was 43 fucking years old. he went 23-7 with 22 complete games. he avg'd 8.2 innings that season. unfortunately they didnt keep pitch counts back then, but to throw a complete game every 3 days at the age of 43 should tell you something.
pitch counts are a number used to worry about a guy because he has a multi-million dollar salary and who knows what kind of PED's he could be taking, but when he stops its likely injury will occur. remember andruw jones? yall got suckered while he got clean.
