lol, on another non haterish tip; i'll be down in redding, fresno, hayward, oaktown, palm springs, and last but certainly not least victorville to visit fam, spread word, and handle sum biz. so anyone wanna give me sum flyers or cds to pass out while im there go ahead im leavin aug 4th so yall got sum time. or just add my myspace if yall havent already and i'll make sure u get sum hits.
Ego Trippin has infected the muthafuckaz who think they're in charge. You may disagree and think that Bay rappers are tight but the only rapper from the Bay that I can stand is Jacka. And that was a few years ago that I got one of his albums.
Obviously since you live in Cali you're going to be biased towards saying that Cali music or rap or whatever is better or Bay rap, whatever it may be.

I don't think the whole region is underground. I just think people don't know what the fuck they are saying when they try to classify themselves within the region. There's cats with super mainstream sounds that call themselves underground cause they aren't signed. What they mean to say is they are INDEPENDENT. I think people just don't know what the fuck they are talking about for the most part. Which is actually pretty common in life. lol. But yeah, the whole region, in my opinion, is not underground. There are some underground artists and there are mainstream sounding indy artists who are on the radio and have mainstream appeal.

I can only speak for a few, but I only rap about shit I've seen, done, been thru, etc. You will NEVER hear a verse from me, Cola, Crytical, 151, Skuntdunanna, or Wrong that has been manufactured in any way. We rap about reality shit and we got bars and substance to go with it. You will find it to be a very refreshing and quality listening experience if you end up checking us out. Bay cats have a whole different mentality than NW cats, but a lot of NW cats wanna rap like they're from the Bay when they aren't. Believe me, that shit shows thru. Same way it shows thru when a rapper from the NW picks up a mic and suddenly develops an east coast accent because they grew up listening to the Wu Tang Clan while living in Seattle. But for a NW rapper to rap like they're part of the hyphy movement, makes me sick. Bay cats have been yokin, gas break dippin, hittin doughnuts, turnin intersections into a side show on a Tuesday afternoon in rush hour traffic, goin dumb (listen to the Humpty Dance), turf dancin, hangin out of cars, and being ignant for YEARS before this hyphy movement started. That shit is corny, too many people do it, and it makes our region look bad. I look at it like this....if you do you, they may not like it, but you leave them no choice but to respect it. I'm a bay cat too, even though I've mostly been in the NW for about 10 years, so I feel where you're coming from with most of what you say.
