thing is if "we" get one of those two there will be a fight for the "starter" or right side corner back postion.......and i want pacman to fill that void so i dont want any more controversy then we allready got.....so i dont know....itd be nice to swoop ethier of those corners......

Yeah Samuel is going to be looking for a big check, but he's earned it. That's why his departure from New England is almost inevitable.. They won't pay him big money. He's established himself in the NFL and he's only going to get better.. This is why I want the Niners to pursue him. They have the cash, now they just have to start spending it wisely.. Samuel is a wise choice.
As for your CB dilemma.. I'd say if you get Clements, Pacman would be the #1 CB. If you get Samuel, then Asante would be the #1 corner on the depth chart.

Anyway, the team does suck year in and year out. There's no cheap shot there. The Niners and the Titans are on their way up.. And the Browns? I'll leave it alone since it really doesn't have to be said.
You really think Asante Samuel is going to want to go from a contender to a team with such glorious accomplishments as Cleveland? They've been dead last in their division for the past 4 years.. Their best record was in 2002 when they went 9-7..
The Titans and Niners have more money to spend than Cleveland, and they are better, more appealing teams. So like I said, the Browns would have to make him a savage offer to get him.

The Browns are a team on the rise as well. We were riddled with injuries last year. Not to mention it's hard to see our progress when you play with Pitt., Baltimore, and Cinci.

cover play comes and goes, but clements is a sure tackler which no one seems to remember. the kid played with winfield and learned how take people down. if even your conerbacks are bruising people, your defense will intimidate and make plays for sure. who will get one of these guys i'm not sure, but yeah 9ers and titans both deserve one of these guys.

They got lucky against the raiders (the fuckin last-place raiders!). I'll tell you like I told raider fans a while back.. It doesn't matter who's in your division when you can't even beat teams from outside your division. There's 16 games, you only play 6 games within the division. What about the other 10?

If both teams make a substantial offer, it does. If you were a player and two teams offered you what you were asking for, would you choose the team headed up or the team staying put? Really though.
