If yall aint seen the movie Moon yet, someone just posted a link in the mediashare forum.

Coming from a person who has seen pretty much every scifi/horror/supernatural/trippy type movie ever made, I can honestly say this is one of the best crafted scifi flicks Ive ever seen. Sam Rockwell can act circles around your favorite actor. If he doesnt get an oscar nomination for his role in this, then the academy is straight up fucked.

yall need to check this out though. this movie makes district 9 look like starship troopers.
Starship troopers was the shit.

I was quite excited to see this after seeing the trailer months ago and then all the hype around it.

Finally saw it last night and was kinda let down. It was good, but I guess I held out hope for something better.

It was nice to see a Sci-Fi movie like this though.

FINALLY watched this after waiting for the horribly long dvd release... movie was amazing. i can see what everyone was talking bout. no way can you compare D9 with MOON, both were solid but completely different. moon was def a mind fuck cuzz i was confused as fuck when he found his clone. i would want to see this again to maybe notice something i might of missed out the first time threw. gentry was a down ass robot, i totally thought gentry was ganna turn on him from the previews of this flick but gentry ends up helping sam out. trippy movie thats for sure, im kind of in limbo with the ending; almost left off too soon IMO.

either way great movie, one of my favorite releases of 09. recommend this movie to everyone to watch.

Watched it a few nights ago and was very impressed. In the beginning I thought I had the movie pegged but as it progressed my prediction fell apart entirely. Very well written, acted, and directed. Even the score was good.

I have a question for those who have seen it. There might have been an explanation during the movie that I missed but I'm going to ask anyway; where is the original Sam Bell? After I watched the film I had the impression that Sam was on Earth the entire time while his clones took care of business on the Moon. Obviously none of the "Sam's" we saw were original as they have a 3 year life span and have been on the moon for at least 15 years. One of them communicated with the daughter and she says something to her "father" but it doesn't show who it is. Like I said, I might have missed where this was explained.

Do you think the radio broadcasts at the end were relevant to the question? One of them says something about "a phony", possibly refering to the clone that came back to Earth and attempted to convince people of what's going on (this of course, is assumed). One would think it would not be very difficuly to convince anyone! All he would have to do is bring himself to light with the original Sam. All this being true it would point to there NOT being an original Sam Bell on Earth. Nonetheless, it makes up for an interesting sequel should they choose to make one.

Hmm, apparently the director Duncan Jones is doing Mute next.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mute_(film)

Mute is an upcoming Science fiction film directed by Duncan Jones.
[edit] Premise

In future Berlin, a woman's disappearance causes a mystery for her partner, a mute bartender. He must to go up against the city’s gangsters to solve the mystery.[3] The film takes place in the same timeline as Jones' Moon, and will feature Sam Rockwell in a cameo as his character Sam Bell.[4]

I think the bolded part is interesting because will it be Sam Rockwell on Earth? That could explain it right there.
