If yall aint seen the movie Moon yet, someone just posted a link in the mediashare forum.

Coming from a person who has seen pretty much every scifi/horror/supernatural/trippy type movie ever made, I can honestly say this is one of the best crafted scifi flicks Ive ever seen. Sam Rockwell can act circles around your favorite actor. If he doesnt get an oscar nomination for his role in this, then the academy is straight up fucked.

yall need to check this out though. this movie makes district 9 look like starship troopers.

Great movie and one of my favorites of the year. And yes, Sam Rockwell is amazing in the film.

Duncan Jones did an great job directing it too. It's funny because seeing he is David Bowie's son I kept on hearing Space Oddity by Bowie in my head at the quiter parts of the movie lol.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more movies directed by Jones.

my bad for making another thread, didnt see this one.

Movie was great, but honestly, I didnt like the ending. I would of liked to see something from him landing back on earth. But I know sometimes it is better left unshown - still tho, I thought the ending was anti-climatic.

Also, so I guess the point of him enabling the live feed was that other clones could figure it out?

Kinda confusing for me I guess, lol.

This movie was beyond awesome.

Definitely my favorite movie of the year. Rockwell deserves an Oscar, or at least a nomination, for his performance.

Cant wait to see what Duncan Jones does next, pretty impressive for a first film. Apparently there may be two more Moon films:

Jones is currently planning a follow up film, which will serve as an epilogue to Moon. "Sam has agreed to do a little cameo in the next film," says Jones,[8] who ultimately hopes to do three films in the Moon series.

It was recently announced that he will direct the feature film adaptation of Escape from the Deep: The Epic Story of a Legendary Submarine and Her Courageous Crew by Alex Kershaw.[9]

Jones also revealed that he will be doing "another science fiction film, called Mute, which takes place in a future Berlin. It's a Blade Runner-inspired piece, a little love letter to that film."[10]

You really can't compare D9 to Moon.

There is nothing similar about the movies other then both are classified as sci-fi.

Moon >>> D9

I'd say though if we are just talking about which I liked more of the two. D9 was good as well though.

Moon was fucking dope.

I thought both D9 and Moon were great. Two of the best movies this year. I'd have a hard time saying which I liked better.

It's strange because I'm normally not all that into Sci-Fi.
