To get back on topic I think the new iPhone looks great I'm sure it is, the display seem to be super dope but I'm more exited about the new iOS4 tho. It's gone be great with the multytasking, mapping and other features aswell.

The funny thing to me about this whole Apple VS Android is that people act like Android is a phone. If you look at it its Apple VS A bunch of manufacturers and they hold their ground pretty good. I'm no nerdy Apple fan I'm just a customer and to me they got the best offer out there with a COMPLETE solution for apps and all around the product. The only flaw with iPhone is for you thats based in the us that only AT&T got the iPhone. Where I'm from we got 4 different Operators that got it.

EDIT: @P.E. No flash
Multitasking, mapping and just about all of those other features have been done, and done well on android for some time.

What you are saying about android being a bunch of manufactures sharing an OS is actually what makes android so fucking great. Just about anyone can afford a device with Android OS. You also have a choice in hardware features as well as a choice in who makes your android device. Another thing is you also have a choice in wireless providers in America which is a huge issue here. Options are a good thing in technology.

There are other apps you can use to broadcast already on iPhone like Ustream etc. I think ive uploaded videos with Qik on iPhone too. And Qik is not 10 frames per second, I think how strong your connection is dictates the framerate of your video stream. The fact that iPhone restricted to Wifi is really at the fault of AT&T. Even the 3GS has been capable of using AT&T's upgraded network that's supposed to be capable of 7Mbps, but they still haven't rolled it out. And still no tethering announced yet.

I been an iPhone user since 07 and after using Android since Friday I can see the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Apple is good at their presentation and making a sleek, simple OS that anyone can pick up and use, but they're also really close minded and take things at their own pace.

I'm dissappointed that Apple didnt announce a new notifications system, the way it's set up now is stupid.. you can be watching a video or doing something and the pop up notification stops the video or interrupts whatever you're doing. Android handles them well, the notification pops up for a bit on the top bar, and they all list in a slide down window and can clear em off if you don't want to see em anymore.

They both got their strengths and weaknesses. There are too many fanboys that pick a side, personally I got curious about Android and after years of being used to iPhone, I decided to get HTC Evo 4G and see if it would be better for me...

one real life example of the openness of Android....last night I was in bed and I didnt feel like getting up, turning on my comp and syncing this 1 song i wanted to hear onto my iPhone....so I grabbed my Evo, found a mediafire link, downloaded it straight to my microSD and heard it right there...

But anyway i aint gonna thread jack...I might grab myself an iPhone 4 and see how fast it is...but I got the feeling that after the shine of the new features like HD recording wear off, it's gonna feel like the same unchanged os...I need me some widgets and more customization on the home screens! Plus I don't feel right agreeing to another 2 years of AT&T service...we'll see. Either way I'm still gonna get the new OS for free on my 3GS.

You could have a 15 megapixel cam w/ a small sensor on a phone, and it won't look better than a standalone, 5 megapixel DSLR camera...it's not always about the megapixel count. I do think the HD video is gonna look nice, probably equal to that of a Flip HD Cam...

I completely agree with you, the open nature of android--on a bunch of levels--is obviously its best feature, and the iphones worst. You can argue back and forth about which platform you like better, android or apple's, but I think thats more personal preference than anything else. But, looking at just the hardware, the iphone is hands down the best around in both its interface and the fact that it is indestructible.

I have to disagree a bit with the hardware and interface comments

My droid is indestructible, I drop it at least twice a day on hard surfaces. I've dropped it in the shower trying to read text messages (very stupid, I know). This thing has tough glass and has held up to a ton of abuse. Not to mention if I do damage my phone I can have an insurance replacement overnighted to me for $90.

The interface is boring and you have to jump through hurdles to change it on the iphone. Customization is the same. I can have the same interface as the iphone on my droid, as well as at least 5 other different interfaces and nearly unlimited customizations.

Apple is good at playing it safe with there OS. They take way too long to release features that should be present from launch. The os does run well, but that's because you are limited on what you can do. They are never going to enable flash, they took forever to get mms, and still no tethering.

I think apple wins the pepsi challenge in terms of durability, it certainly does on all the comparitive review things ive read. In terms of the interface being boringi was talking more about the hardware interface, the touch screen is nicer to use than anything ive played with on other phones. But I will grant you that apple does take way too long to release updates, and fucks its users over in doing so. Its because theyre making theyre money on hardware that this happens, they save up all the good feauture updates for new hardware release dates and it pisses me the fuck off.

You don't know the difference between there, they're and their so google that before calling anyone an idiot you goofball.

Like I said you can't do video chat without being on wifi, which kills of half of the excitement for on location usage, especially when it comes to phone sex as you were so excited about. And if you're doing that on wifi in any place other than your home or a hotel please kill yourself. Besides like I said its no difference from being able to stream video on wifi than on your laptop or netbook than on an iphone because you are restricted.

The iphone does record video in HD (and many phones have been doing that), but I don't think it streams in HD.

Also it looks like you can only stream to one person at a time, and that person has to have an iphone 4. With shit like qik or ustream you can broadcast to multiple people.

You don't know anything about android to even tell me why it sucks do you?
android to many chiefs not enough indians apps dont work across all phones cuz everybodys android runnin different shit and the apps they do got are iphone failed apps mostly

Wtf are you talking about, just about every app I've ever wanted installed without an issue. Lmfao @ failed apps, stupid fuck please, name some apps that your phone has that does something that I can't do. Please. Besides you're posting random ass articles. I can post articles where shit has gone wrong on iphones too. Fuck, my cousin has had his 3gs replaced a few times.

you still dont understand the technology. A. qik works fine, especially with my droid that records in 720p that can stream video from anywhere on the 3g network without being choppy AT ALL. B. If you're streaming from wifi, you are not changing the game. It's not that hard to understand. That's like saying the honda accord can now drive down the street. We've been able to do this for quite some time in every other car. C. your shit still don't do flash you're talking about not seeing bitches, I can view anything thats broadcast from another phone or website whether its ustream, qik, stickham and any other porn site.

Well that don't really matter because I got the iPhone and that is the unit I want it on.

My point was this. A post was saying that Android selling a lot more then iPhone. Well it's available on a bunch of manufactures so maybe thats the reason Android make those numbers. Thats the reason why I said that Apple/iPhone/OS hold their ground good. You know what I'm saying?

Yea I know what you mean with options and like I said I think it suck for you to only have AT&T as a provider for iPhone. At first when we got the iPhone over here it was the same it was only one provider and I didn't get the iPhone 3G until i actually tried a unlocked one hands on. Now we got 4 providers and for the iPhone 4 they are talking about that all the providers will have them available. With the iPhone I get a Complete solution like I said in my post earlier.

I think Android is better for you that is in the USA. Here we can't buy apps from the android market, well unless we root + some more steps with credit card. We can only download the free once and even that is messy because the market detects what hardware you got and sort them out to you, it's been reported that on some manufactures the market don't detects the camera and so on, well you get it. The phones with Android here is in the same range or as the SE X10 even more expensive, with HTC being the major. We don't got Motorola droid and the other once you got.

I got to roll. You got good points about options but to sum it up guess it's all where you live.
