Trying to watch a movie that I downloaded, it's a .rar file. I can't get the shit to play no matter what I do.

download the first one at the top of the list. It's just like Winzip. Like some one else said , its just a container, your .mp4 file is inside of it.

To play those files. you need either QuickTime 7 or greater. Or Windows Media Player 10.

banned from a website? what does the website have to offer? if your banned, and you got high speed internet, and a static ip then your screwed unless, you release/renew, see if you can change your IP address. But they might have banned your Account, or whatever and your IP.

Ok-- I'm a lil irritated and hopefully its just that I'm a dumbass and y'all can give me the answer I need here..

I dont use IE.. I use Mozilla.. its all great, good, fine.. well.. the past two days if I'm on for a period of time (over an hour) whatever open Mozilla windows I have open will freeze up.. so I'll close out of all of them.. but when I click the Mozilla icon to get back on... I get a "choose your profile" which has "main" and no other, so I click "main" and it says cannot choose this profile its already in use?? wtf..?
WELL.. like the smart girl I am.. this happended to me last night and theres an option to 'create a new profile' ... so I did.
WELL.. now I cant get back to the "main" profile and thats where all my bookmarks are and frequently used shit with all my stored log-in/password info... its my day to pay bills and I dont know any of the sites or passwords.... soooo yeah.. anybody know how to get back to the other profile.. I've tried re-booting, tried to stay on for an extended period hoping to get the prompt.. but so far, nada...... shit.

Answer to what was happening:

4. I cannot open Mozilla / my profile. Mozilla says the profile is in use.

Look in your profile directory for file called parent.lock, lock, or .parentlock. Delete the file. (The file is created on start-up to prevent multiple instances of Mozilla or Mozilla-based browser from accessing the same profile simultaneously. The file is destroyed on exit.)

Location of your profile(assuming you use Windows XP):

[FONT="Courier New"]C:\Documents and Settings\[Log-in Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\[/FONT]

You can try to migrate the info you need (bookmarks and passwords) to the new profile if you want....
