all that extra driving is cut in half when you auto drive to the location via cab or whatever and skip the scene. did we learn nothing from the last GTA?

sure you can drive around for 45 min if you WANT to but you can skip it as well, i'm sure that will be the case in V

yeah auto-skip is a must, but i clearly remember a bunch of instances in San Andreas where you absolutely had to drive through the countryside to get to places to do mundane bullshit like butcher described. i hope none of that shit makes an appearance in V.

Also I think those screenshots have been shown to be fake, like on the map screen it says 250$ instead of $250

and on the map there is no N for north

that was before they really used the auto skip shit though. You basically had to drive everywhere. on the last game you could skip anywhere you wanted practically.

lol the only memorable driving mission i hated in SA was the one where you were at the top of the mountain trying to killl that snitch and he jumps on the dirtbike, and maybe that one that you had to drive that semi. that shit in the country side did seem kinda out of place almost non-relavent to the other parts of the game.

but i think the using the cabs in 4 was kinda the down fall of that game (i did it ALL the time) i mean, what kind of real gangsta jump in the back of cabs and get dropped off right in front of where they bout to murk 50-11 people? with more straps then they give our troops overseas

even during early missions (not using any cheats of course) where you couldn't yet afford a helicopter or reach an accessible one? >thumbs up<
I would go to the airport in LS, jump over the fence and take the dodo plane

The world of GTA is full of many rewards if you explore...

let me explain how the vehicle spawning system in GTA works. vehicle spawning is based on the general area you are in. if you grab a vehicle, then the game will take that vehicle information and similar vehicle types will be respawned in the same general area. this is so your shitty consoles arent storing every possible vehicle there is in its limited memory cache. this is why if you grab the super fast sports car in some ritzy area, all the sudden you will be finding super fast sports cars all over the place. or if you spend forever looking for a taxi and finally jump in one, all the sudden you see 10 taxis all over hte fucking place.

it was the same way with san andreas. this is why the country side will suck major ass.

if you spawn or are started off in a rural area with no vehicle, then no vehicles are going to spawn, and when they finally do it will be shitty rural area vehicles. highly doubt taxis will be there. it will be several minutes of running around looking for a shitty vehicle, which in turn will make other shitty vehicles spawn, and youre going to end up driving around a lot of the time in shitty vehicles looking for slightly better shitty vehicles to drive and find the least shittiest vehicle to get your out of the shitty vehicle zone as fast as possible. on top of that, things only spawn if you are not looking in that direction, which is fine in the middle of a city with lots of intersections and walls, but when youre in the wide open middle of nowhere, nothing will spawn. dont believe me? try running around in the middle of a busy intersection in GTA IV or san andreas, make sure to note that there are no vehicles behind you or around you. now do a quick 180. bam, car came out of nowhere. thats hwy you get hit by cars nearly everytime you charge across the street without looking. now if youre in some industrial area or rural area thats wide open, your shitty console is storing all of that map information rather than the vheicle information, and no cars are going to spawn for you in with that limited amount of cache

It is plainly how the game engine works, its not some conspiracy i have against GTA cause i dislike it, quite the opposite, i love the game. i just know how its going to work if the map is really like that. and trust me, ive played all the recent GTAs, running on foot with no vehicle even for 1 minute feels like it is draining your soul and makes you want to just not play the game anymore, especially when you realize how the game engine works and you keep looking in different directions to try and get a vehicle to spawn and it doesnt work. running for 2-5 minutes on foot in that game feels like you just ran a mile in real life, shit drains you and kills any fun at all
