Better safe than sorry is my motto. I was 17 when I got my gf pregnant. Before her parents could find out, she had an abortion.

my Human Sexuality textbook has african american males listed as having the highest rate of aids, followed by caucasians and latino males.
if memory serves me correct, black females have less aids than white females.
^thats in heterosexuals.
If you want I can cite the book soon enough, but black females are actually surveyed as being the least likely to perform certain sexual acts (oral sex, anal sex, even more freaky shit etc.) ultimately making them less likely than other groups to contract an STI. Maybe its different where YOU live, with the people YOU know (but considering you dont fuck with black girls, you probably dont know very much.) But nationally thats pretty much what I recall from that class.
And condoms have gotten better, with the ridiculously thin latex.
