I got Alvarado within 6. he needs to do this in order to get a big fight like Pacman or Bradley. a rematch vs Rios will not happen until both are at top of the 147

Lets be real, hes achieved more then most of us thought he would. Im happy for the guy. I really think people are scared to fight him. As one dimensional as he can be he still has them deadly hands and has good head movement and cuts off the ring well.

Top Rank gave Alvarado everything he wanted and he didn't come through. couldn't even give the post fight interview in the ring and thank the fans. He fought back like a soldier tho and mad props to Ruslan who just reached GGG status in my eyes

Ruslan broke Alvaredo's spirit.

So what happens now? Does he fight Rios if Rios wins or a Bradley fight?
Pacquiao, Bradley, Rios are all in the mix. Maybe even Marquez if he doesn't retire and say, Pac fights Bradley and Rios has a broken orbital bone. He's the champ at 140 now so he's got other options as well (Khabib Allakhverdiev would be dope).

Ruslan technically isn't promoted by Top Rank, he's actually promoted by Banner Promotions so in theory he could fight on showtime against Garcia or Matthysse but Ruslan said he's dedicated to HBO.

I actually want to see Provodnikov/Marquez. Ruslan has had a ton of difficult fights. I think he deserves a decent paying fight against Marquez which is probably the easiest fight out of this bunch. If he just gets outboxed by Bradley, that does ZERO for him. Even if he knocks Bradley out, that might be worse for his career. It wouldn't pay well and then guys will really be avoiding him.

I don't think Bradley would rematch him coming off a Marquez win, but if he did he would just boxing like he was doing in the middle rounds where he was beating Ruslan fairly easy. It was when he decided to slug it out that nearly cost him the fight. I doubt he would be that stupid

Besides, Ruslan came out and said Bradley beat him so I don't see that match happening at all.
Bradley deserved the decision but a lot people already forgot that the ref fucked up and ruled a clear knockdown a slip. If he would have correctly called it a knockdown it would have been a draw. Ruslan has class though and didn't complain.

Showtime actually approached Hopkins and asked if he could make 160 by May next year for Floyd and Bhop said yes, so that's where the rumor started. I think Showtime is just probing potential opponents, kind of a lack of big names which is why guys like Khan are also being considered. Mayweather beat everyone pretty much no one really left.
