Povetkin always looked big to me, til I saw those pics. He's going to get KOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHED. At least I think he will.

I didn't realize Delvin was that much bigger than Cotto. Not that it matters, but if Trout was able to bother Cotto with his power, Delvin could win this fight. He's got decent pop and he's definitely tough enough to hang in there with Cotto.
I rarely quote myself, but damn I have never seen Delvin just totally beat down like that. Cotto is obviously a class or 2 above him. Good performance. If he would've fought Margarito like that the first time, he probably would've won. He never went to the body against him the first time.

He's a solid contender. He was robbed in a few of those losses. Certainly not elite but a solid fighter who's beat some quality opponents.
He's had back to back wins in 2013. His last back to back wins came in 2008. So not counting the Cotto fight, and counting backwards to the fight that broke his win streak his record is the following:

win-win-loss-win-draw-loss-win-loss-loss-draw.

You actually believe this guy is a solid contender? He had no business int he ring with Cotto.

Those two draws should have been wins. He should have had won 5-6 wins in a row before losing to Trout on points. He beat Wolak and Isaac Hlatshwayo but judges had them draws.

Solid contender. Not elite but he's no push over either. He Probably did better against Trout than Cotto did.

But they are losses and there were no major talks or rages after the losses or draws. The guy was never a threat to Cotto. What skills did he have to compete?

Who you guys got this weekend Ruslan vs Mile High Mike? I figure Mike boxes like he did against Rios, has a couple of scares cuz he's not slick but wins a UD. Ruslan bruises like a banana cuz of his high cheek bones so Im sure he'll be busted up. The slightest bit of movement nullifies Ruslans power.

fatigue will be a factor for ruslan fighting in denver. mike by a ud or sd, like 2-0 said a few scares from the hard hitting russian, but i think mike will outpoint him.

The weights are in for the HBO televised junior welterweight clash at the 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado. WBO champion Mike Alvarado came in at 141-pounds - one pound over the junior welterweight limit. He will have two hours to make the required weight or risk losing his title on the scale. The challenger, Ruslan Provodnikov, had no problems by coming in at 139.8-pounds.
