I'm tired of hearing about Rosado. I thought he (narrowly) beat Love, the fight was controversial against Quillin but his face was a bloody mess, and now this loss. Let him actually beat someone for once. How about Tapia vs. Rosado? Should be fun while it lasts.

He definitely has, I'm just tired of hearing about him. It's nothing against him, but guys like him, Rocky Juarez, Vicente Escobedo, Edison Miranda etc... they are good for tv but after awhile, if they can't win a damn fight, I get tired of them.

if Ortiz would've landed that left hook first tho, we'd probably be talkin bout a different fight here tho

side note: I knew I should've put up some scrilla for collazo, dude is a tough vet. like 2-0 said it spells trouble for a comebacc fight for ortiz

De La Hoya Advises Victor Ortiz To Retire From Boxing

By Edward Chaykovsky

After watching Victor Ortiz suffer his third consecutive knockout loss, promoter Oscar De La Hoya has advised the boxer to walk away from the ring. On Thursday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Ortiz was knocked out in two rounds by Luis Collazo. It was Ortiz's first fight since a June 2012 stoppage loss to Josesito Lopez.

"I really feel [Victor Ortiz] should call it a day and enjoy his young life," De La Hoya stated on the social networks.

De La Hoya's company, Golden Boy Promotions, had at one time pushed Ortiz as the second coming of De La Hoya in the Los Angeles area. He was catching on and received a huge push by HBO. But then he suffered a big hit when he quit in the sixth round of a 2009 six round war with Marcos Maidana.

Ortiz fought his way back to a top spot with a decision win over Andre Berto in April 2011 to win the WBC welterweight title. But then later that year he was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in four rounds. When Collazo caught him with a big right hand in the second round, Ortiz crumbled to his knees and never even attempted to get up.

Ortiz turned 27-years-old on Friday.

He shouldn't retire, he should fight at 154 tho and get humble. Yeah he's in it for the money but who isn't? He looked too dehydrated even before the weigh ins and he lost the fight there. GBP was protecting everyone but Ortiz, so maybe he feels a certain way/ I don't know. But he got the Mayweather fight for a reason and that's cuz he has a natural skill most of us on this forum wish we had and now he needs to find himself, just like Broner. Good talented fighters with bad surroundings

Like Broner??? Hahahha Please dont compare that dude to Broner. Broner was a warrior who got up twice and was hurt bad on the first knockdown and went a full 12 wit a viscious puncher. Ortiz basically quit 3 times lol. Against the same Maidana fighter, his jaw broke and he wouldnt continue when others did in that same situation and yesterday he didnt even try to get up and gave up. Dudejust doesnt have it bro. Losing a fight is one thing but basically quitting is another. Got Em!!
