PBC needs Richard Schaefer bad, some of the stuff they do just doesn't make any sense at all. They need a true matchmaker for starters, putting on shows like Lara vs Rodriguez as a main event where Lara makes over a million dollars and they only do 440,000 viewers doesn't add up. Another missed opportunity is Broner vs Porter. They are calling it "The Battle for Ohio!" and yet it's in Vegas! Why would they not put this in the Midwest is beyond explanation.

MGM Grand Garden basically empty for #BronerPorter weigh-in. Few hundred. #boxing

Now if this was in Broner & Porters home-state of Ohio, it would be a huge event. But leonard ellerbe is basically the promoter for this event so I guess that is on him (he is a fool).

Why the heck is Ward fighting at 172? he trying to get up to 175?
Hasn't fought in a couple years. Guess he's going to see how he feels then decide if he's going to stay at 168 or officially move up to 175. Kovalev has been knocking on his door so there has been some talks there apparently. I don't think he does though, he'll likely stay at 168.

Ward is on some serious bullshit and I don't know why the monkies saying "but GGG should move up doe" don't see it. Bottom line is this, the hypocrite Ward won his gold medal at what weight class? LHW. LHW in the Olympics is 165 a 178. So stop calling out smaller fighters and stop bitching because a muthafucka didn't hit the catch weight because the weight class you won your medal at is LHW and this guy is within that limit. I've pointed that shit out a year ago but people don't seem to grasp it.

Fuck Ward.

Olympic weigh ins are extremely different than professional weigh ins. In the Olympics you have to weigh in every day that you're there and be in range of your class and then make weight the day you fight. It's also tournament based so you have to be on weight every 3-4 days. Guys normally compete in the amateurs at one weight and then come in lighter in the pros.

Any fighter should be upset when a guy doesn't make a contracted weight. Paul Smith just comfortably made 168 in back to back fights with Abraham so it's not like he's a big guy himself and it should be frustrating for anyone when they work to make the contracted weight and the guy on the other side comes in heavy.
