Yeah, being undefeated is impressive, but IMO, level of opposition faced, and defeated is a much better indication of a fighter's worth.

And Marquez definitely still belongs on that list, there is no shame in losing to a guy who fights two divisions above you, and one of the greatest fighters of our era.

Abraham, Kessler, Vitali or Wladimir deserve a spot more than Donaire does. Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez? Those guys just got cleared to fight again and they are fighting tune ups.

One of the 4 Euro's I mentioned should easily replace 1 of the 3 I just mentioned.

Boderline haterism??? Not at all. Pacman gets the number 1 rating for beating a completely depleted and dried out De La Hoya? Seriously??? He knocked out Hatton. Ok, so you're telling me both De La Hoya and Hatton are so highly rated that beating them puts you in the #1 slot? Pacman is a good fighter, but far from the number 1 or 2 fighter. Take a look at who I have in front of him, and seriously tell me if he really ranks above them.

Pound 4 pound rankings exclude heavyweights, so that takes care of the Klits.

Abraham = hasn't beaten an elite fighter. His best win is Edison Miranda.

Kessler = has beat some decent opponents but no elites, also his inactivity (shitty promoter, legal problems, etc.) for a stretch of time and fighting bums didn't help. That can change depending on how the Super Six turns out.

You can make a case for Vazquez/Marquez though because of their inactivity, although I would quickly insert Williams & Chad Dawson.

No, he was pound 4 pound #1 BEFORE beating Oscar. Pacquiao was #2 when Floyd retired (and he definitely deserved that #2 spot based on beating Marquez, Barrera, Erik Morales, etc.). Pac moved up by default and he definitely proved his worth after dominated diaz, oscar, hatton, in three different weight classes in three fights.

See above (he was #1 prior to those fights).

Further, the man was fighting at 130 pounds in 2008. Pacquiao is the very definition of pound 4 pound as he keeps going up in weight and he keeps dominating. You need to factor that in as well. He's one belts in 7 weight classes.

2-0 Sixx how would u rank the top 5 for the 90's era? how would u rank tyson.
shit, that's a tough one.

Pernell Whitaker
Roy Jones Jr.
Oscar de la hoya
Shane Mosley
Trinidad

I'm sure I'm leaving a couple out.

I don't know how to rank Tyson in the 90's since he lost to Buster douglas in 1990 then was in prison 'till 1995 and lost to Holyfield in '96 and '97. Tyson was just never the same as he was pre-prison.

If Pacman is going up to 147, then fight a real welterweight and not DLH crippled by the weight loss, because if you truly call that him going up in weight, your only fooling your self. If he pulls off the upset over Cotto, then I'll respect it more. And Mayweather too was a former lightweight who went up so factor that in if you want to give Pacman props for the same thing... Especially since he beat DLH at light middleweight. 130 all the way up to 154. Let's see Pacman do that then we can talk about p4p

when have I not given Mayweather props? Mayweather was #1 but he retired for 2 years. One fight doesn't make you #1 unless that one fight is against the current #1.

Also, floyd started his career at 130 pounds Pacman started his at 106 pounds. There is a difference.

In addition, Mayweather was #1 pound 4 pound before he started fighting at 147 pounds, he was at 140 when he became #1 (Bernard Hopkins was pound 4 pound #1 then lost to Jermain Taylor which bumped Money to #1). Sorry if that didn't make sense.
