^^^^Notice the hype at the end about buying the PPV. Nice propaganda lol! I think if someone knocked down floyd, they'd be bragging about it.

God Oscar is such a drama queen! Fucking guy can't even act normal days before the big event. I agree he probably got busted doing some weirdo shit again and he predictably blames alcohol or drugs. Just embrace that you're a queer Oscar its 2013 lol

I seriously doubt this story. BUT, it doesn't mean anything if it's true. I think the sparring partners must sign something that says they can't talk about what goes on in training with Floyd other than what they show on tv. Wasn't it Lamont Peterson that messed up his rib going in to the Marquez fight that people talked about so much? I never heard Peterson say a damn thing about it. They are very private. I'd heard for years that he does like 12-15 rounds of training with no breaks or water with continuous sparring partners on a rotation. He's definitely done a full 1 hour workout without breaks or water in front of the media before.

Nah that rib thing was bogus they wanted to move the date for better sales.

Before his last fight he had a black eye and it was known pretty much immediately it was Errol Spence that gave it to him. There are always hella people in his gym eventually people talk and it spreads. Never heard a peep if this knock down besides this media take out article, seems unlikely.

Top 10 Best Usa Vs. Mexico Bouts- Espn Article

Mayweather already has a good number of Mexican fighters who fell victim to him: Jose Luis Castillo, Goyo Vargas, Jesus Chavez and even Juan Manual Marquez, while Alvarez has been gradually expanding his list of American victims, which includes Shane Mosley and Austin Trout.
In light of that, we take a look at the top fights from the rivalry ahead of Saturday's superfight.

10. Erik Morales-Junior Jones, Tijuana, Mexico, Sept. 12, 1998
Morales was just starting to shine as junior featherweight titlist when the 22 year-old boxer from Tijuana crushed "Poison" Jones in four rounds. The victory extended his reign and ended the run the American Jones had begun with consecutive victories over Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera.

9. Danny Garcia-Morales II, Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 20, 2012
The aging legend Morales was looking to recover the junior welterweight title from the young American Garcia, who had already beaten him in March 2012 in an exciting fight. But in the rematch, the idol of Philadelphia not only beat the 36-year-old again, he also knocked him out in the fourth round on what would be the swan song of "El Terrible" on American soil at the Barclays Center.

8. Shane Mosley-Antonio Margarito, Los Angeles, Jan. 24, 2009
It was expected that Margarito, who was fresh off his dethroning of Miguel Cotto, would reach the pinnacle of boxing when he faced Mosley for the welterweight title. However, before a full house at the Staples Center, the Californian knocked Margarito out in the ninth round and stripped him of his title, and not without first finding a concealed forbidden bandage under Margarito's hand wraps before the fight.

7. Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Jose Luis Castillo I, Las Vegas, April 20, 2002
What many remember from this night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena was a debated decision. Castillo had done enough in the eyes of some to beat the man then known as "Pretty Boy," but in the end the scorecards (116-111, 115-111, 115-111) gave the Mayweather the victory and the lightweight championship. The American went on to win the rematch, by an even tighter unanimous decision, eight months later.

6. Julio Cesar Chavez Sr.-Pernell Whitaker, San Antonio, Sept. 10, 1993
In his first attempt to win the welterweight title, the Mexican legend Chavez faced "Sweet Pea" Whitaker before 60,000 fans at the Alamodome. After the 12 rounds, the scorecards read 115-115, 115-115 and 115-113, which meant a majority draw that allowed Whitaker to keep the belt in a fight most felt he had won decisively.

5. Thomas Hearns-Pipino Cuevas, Detroit, Aug. 2, 1980
This date will be remembered as one of the greatest episodes of the "Hitman's" career as he crushed then welterweight titlist Jose "Pipino" Cuevas in two rounds at the Joe Louis Arena. Hearns made the Mexican bite the dust in dramatic fashion after only two episodes after a massive right hand.

4. Mayweather Jr.-Oscar De la Hoya, Las Vegas, May 5, 2007
In the most expensive fight in history, Mayweather defeated De La Hoya by split decision to take his junior middleweight title at the MGM Grand. Mayweather saved that night thanks to his boxing, although some thought that De La Hoya had done enough to keep it close in Mayweather's first fight at 154 pounds.

3. Michael Carbajal-Humbero Gonzalez I, Las Vegas, March 13, 1993
In one of the most shocking bouts in the history of the Mexican-American rivalry, Carbajal and Gonzalez became the first junior flyweight boxers to earn $1 million. That night at the Hilton Hotel, Carbajal stopped "La Chiquita" in seven rounds to unify titles.

2. Chavez-Meldrick Taylor I, Las Vegas, March 17, 1990
One of the greatest victories of Mexican boxing. Chavez was about to lose his undefeated record to Taylor, but with awesome persistence the Mexican gave all he had and knocked Taylor out just two seconds before the end of the fight, closing the deal and unifying the CMB and FIB super-lightweight titles at the Hilton Hotel.

1. Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo I, Las Vegas, May 7, 2005
Considered by many to be the best fight of this century, the late Corrales' dramatic 10th-round TKO of Castillo was undoubtedly the most exciting chapter between Mexican and American fighters. Corrales came back from two knockdowns in the 10th round to stop Castillo on his feet and unify the lightweight titles.

lol, fuck it everyone hits that point in there career where they have no choice but to move up in weight. Corrales shouldnt have fought the 2nd fight if he had a problem. I just always considered him a joke after he got knocked down by Mayweather like 5 or 6 times whatever it was. I know its Mayweather but he never really regained my respect after that fight and since i never cared about him in the first place its just wack to me his best career win was cuz of spitting out a mouthpiece. It is pretty fucked up that he died though but my man Gatti will always be a way more respectable fighter

You are trippin! Corrales gave it his all everytime. Don't forget his epic battles with Casamayor! So he spit out his guard after being knocked down big deal. His heart is what got him back in it.

Castillo simply didn't reach that point in his career where he couldn't make weight he simply didn't want to since he did it like 5 times! The guy would move up a weight class and still be over. Only other person that was worse was Joan Guzman and not by much. Pure laziness on their parts.

Gatti and Diego were similar - not the best fighters in the world but always entertaining, always gave it all. Corrales had the far better wins though (Castillo and Casamayor ), Gatti never beat an A class fighter.

Maybe boxing experts will say Corrales was better or what not but to the average person Gatti will be more remembered cuz of his epic battles with Ward. Gatti would have fucked Castillo and Casamayor up if they fought.

Floyd got knocked down in sparring? Lol, I think it's true. It happens.... Floyd isn't untouchable. He's been knocked down by Zab (even though they didn't count it), rocked by Shane, and Cotto has his head snapping back and bloodied his nose. So I could see Floyd getting knocked down. Watching episode 3 of that access show, I could see him getting somewhat distracted with all them women around.

Broner, Maidana Have Altercation at Fox Sports Card

By Luis Sandoval

A fight between Adrien Broner and Marcos “Chino” Maidana is being worked on to happen December 14th in Las Vegas, NV at the MGM Grand but both men almost fought before the contracts were signed as they had an altercation at the Thursday night Fox Sports fights.

Both men had been going back and forth on Twitter the past couple weeks and things got physical when they ran into each other. I spoke to Maidana’s manager Sebastian Contursi after the incident to get an explanation as to what happened.

Contursi informed BoxingScene that Maidana was upset at Broner for referring to him in a derogatory manner using a gay slur on Twitter. Maidana had told Broner that he would confront him on the weekend of September 14th to see if he would make the same comment in person.

The always cool and calm Maidana went up to Adrien to confront him as Adrien was with Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer. According to Contursi, Broner put his hand on Maidana’s shoulder and Maidana then slapped Broner’s hand down as things escalated and got physical as both men pushed each other. Contursi himself was surprised at Maidana’s reaction but it was fueled due to the comment made by Broner.

I caught up with* Broner briefly as he was being ushered out of the arena and he confirmed there was pushing and also said he didn’t understand what Maidana told him.
“That motherf***er don’t speak English. I don’t know what he said. It is what it is, this is boxing. This sh*t is real” said Broner.

Contursi also informed the fight is still not complete or signed and they are still working on negotiations and ironing out the particulars. He did confirm both sides are eager for the fight and hopes for something to be finalized within the coming days.
