the reason nolan doesnt get fired is simple...john york does not want to pay someone who is not on his staff..
the defensive scheme against the patriots was a good one but poorly executed...you cant blitz a qb who throws long handoffs all the time...they had to play a soft zone to try and stop all the drag routes the pats recievers (welker) run ALL DAY LONG...just think if the 9ers blitz they have to play man..they run moss deep... there goes nate and roman...now gaffney runs a skinny post...walt pretty much has him one on one...if the 9ers blitz 7 that leaves tarell or M Lew to gaurd welker on a drag across the middle which niether of them can gaurd welker and considering its a long handoff even czar's no talent ass could complete that pass and its gonna go for big yardage...
