mayweather has to bend over backwards? are you crazy?

Floyd calling the shots as to when, where the fight has to be.
Floyd calling the shots on the drug testing.
Floyd calling the shots on how much money HE requires.

And he's bending over backwards?

Man, floyd and arum not doing business can only go for so long. I mean, at first floyd had NO PROBLEM working with Arum so long as Pac took the drug tests, right? That was the only hold up. Pac has now agreed to the drug tests and now it's Arum? C'mon bro.

Even Arum and Oscar end up doing business together from time to time.
Manny agreed to random testing three after it was 1st offered, when he's already signed to fight Marquez in Dec 2012, after a 750k PPV event vs Bradley, and after he once again turned down another fight offer by Mayweather. lol.. Why doesn't Manny ever want to fight Floyd when he doesn't already have a fight booked. You know like when Mayweather made him the 1st 2 fight offers. Top Rank is playing games and anyone with half a brain can see it now. Manny is already fighting Rios next you know it and I know.. Stop acting like Top Rank is trying to make a fight with Mayweather. How about Manny talk about making a fight after Marquez, he is after all fighting Marquez in Dec.

stop acting like floyd offered manny a fair deal, man. You have no leg to stand on when Pac wanted to fight floyd but Floyd wanted 100% of the PPV. He wanted to make over $100 million dollars and give Pac a flat fee! Completely absurd and only the biggest flomo on the planet can defend such a horrible split of the pie in what would have been the richest fight in boxing history. Additionally his offer wouldn't have even worked because he was to give Pac a flat fee of $40 million, not top rank. Pac is under contract with Top Rank. Pac couldn't, under law, accept a flat fee and cut Top Rank out completely. It was a BS offer from floyd that he knew would never fly. Floyd was either an idiot for offering something like that or simply didn't want the fight.

All you are proving is that Top Rank and Mayweather will not do business together. Mayweather in 2009 offered a 50/50 deal with random drug testing and a 14-day cut-off window. Top Rank and Manny backed out. One guy makes the offer Mayweather and the other doesn't take them Manny.

Mayweather would not make a $100 million fighting Manny why do you even beleive that crap. Manny would've made $40 and Mayweather around $65-$70 million. The problem is Bob Arum wants a bigger peice of the pie, and that's why the fight will never happen. Top Rank is the reason why this fight won't happen.

"If Pacquiao would have fought the same Cotto that my son fought, Cotto would have stopped him in 3 rounds.
I can agree with that statement to an extent.
Cotto was hitting Manny hard for the first couple until he got dropped. Then dropped again. Those were solid shots that Manny landed and weight cutting is no excuse to getting caught with a clean counter shot.

I do believe that the Cotto that fought Floyd would wreck Manny, especially now.

Also, Floyd didn't offer Manny shit.
Floyd offered Arum. Arum declined.
Arum pays Manny, not Floyd.

All major sport transactions have a manager, broker, agent, etc. Even if it's your own promotional company you have someone else representing you at the table.
You can't just go up to someone and go "hey, I'll give you 40 million dollars to fight me". He has to say "talk to my agent".

Arum is ducking.
Smart move really.

that's not what happened. Floyd offered Manny himself $40 million dollars on the phone, a flat fee. Arum/Top Rank wasn't involved in that offer at all. Pac is under contract with Top Rank, quite obviously that wouldn't work at all. It has to be a Top Rank/Pacquiao - Floyd/Golden Boy deal.

How much money would the fight generate? If the fight did say, 2 million PPV. You're telling me Floyd is making $65 million if he gets 100% of the PPV?

The problem is Floyd Mayweather wants a bigger peice of the pie, and that's why the fight will never happen.
Fixed it for you.

Never in boxing has someone wanted 100% of the PPV when it comes to the two biggest names & attractions in the sport. Floyd is extremely unreasonable in his demands.

How can anyone defend floyd getting 100% of the PPV money? It's beyond absurd. Yet some how you can do it.

I don't like GGG fighting at 168 but damn he's a badass. Martinez, Chavez, Geale, Quillin, Sturm, N'jikam and a bunch of other guys have turned him down so he's like fuck it, I'll fight at 168.

BA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin, will challenge Tommy Oosthuizen on January 19 in New York, likely on HBO

By Dan Ambrose: WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) will be defending his title against unbeaten IBO super middleweight champion Thomas Oosthuizen (20-0, 13 KO’s) on January 19th, at New York’s Madison Square Garden, according to goldengloves.co.za.

Golovkin, 30, was hoping to fight World Boxing Association Super World middleweight champion Daniel Geale next, but Geale instead chose to fight Australian Anthony Mundine. This in turn led to the WBA quickly stripping Geale of his title. However, Golovkin now has an arguably better opponent in 6’4″ South African Oosthuizen, who has been impressing boxing fans in the United States recently with his wins on Showtime Sports.

(The WBA has named GGG the sole middleweight champion after stripping Geale).

He's just starting to see the truth. Manny asked wanted to fight Cotto again two times this year but only at a 150lb catchweight. Why does Manny need a catchweight for a guy he already TKO'ed at catchweight. Because he want a advanage going into the fight. It's clear as do to see.

That's what I am saying.
Floyd's offer was invalid. That's why I said he didn't offer him anything. Or basically he offered him something Manny couldn't even accept.

I believe it's a factor, but no one will ever really know how much of one.
I just think catch weights are ridiculous. Making weight is a big part of the game. Catch weights change the rules.

You doing that Mitt Romney math again. ODLH vs Mayweather made $120 million at 2.4 PPV buys. Please tell me how Mayweather will make $100 million after $10 million flat fee to Golden Boy, $10 million flat fee to the MGM, $40 to Manny, plus you have to pay the undercard fighters. That's already $60 million without paying the undercard fighters of the $120 million. That's $60 million left for Mayweather. Again the $40 million offer to Manny was very fair when you stop hating a look at the numbers.

I could offer you 1,000,000 for the place you stay at but if it's not your house you can't accept it.

The point is Floyd was talking to the wrong person. So he could have said 60 million and it wouldn't have mattered. It's not up to Manny.

It's like trying to bargain the cost of your groceries with the girl at the check out line. Not happening...

You forget that Mayweather and Golden Boy got the judge that mediated the first offer in 2009 to call Top Rank about making the fight for May 5th 2012. Do you not remember Bob Arum telling the judge that he doesn't want to make the fight? Do you remember Arum talking about how he doesn't know who to talk to too make the fight with Mayweather even thou Mayweather had the same team since leaving Top Rank?? Remember Manny couldn't fight May 5th because of his cut, then Bob wanted to build the outdoor arena?

I have been saying the samething for 3 years now. Bob Arum does not want to make the fight. But yet he has no problem using Mayweather's name to sell his own inhouse fights. The only people still saying Mayweather is ducking Manny are the few Manny dickriders left.

Not nearlly as much as styles make fights. Cotto had some success against floyd because floyd fought stationary. He basically fought like james Toney - not much leg movement, just stands in the pocket and uses the shoulder roll defense. Cotto has a great jab. he can double and triple up the jab and land against floyd and at the same time use pressure. That's why cotto had some success.

Pac on the otherhand has that in-and-out style, always moving, always on his feet, and attacking unpredictably. Cotto never could establish his jab and the pressure just wasn't going to hold up against a guy like Pac.

Styles make fights.

This is why Floyd can dominate a guy like Marquez, a counter puncher who was forced to be the aggressor, and pac can look so bad against Marquez. It's all about the styles.

Floyd, so far, has had the biggest problems against pressure type fighters that can use a jab - Castillo and Cotto. Pac absolutely loves fighting pressure type fighters. Totally different styles and each are totally different results.

Mayweather answered back and their war or
words is getting down and dirty. He jabbed at
50's new promotional company and then fired
on 50 himself.
"SMS = Snakes Maneuver Slick, SMS = Sisters
Managing Sports, SMS = Similar Mayweather
Show. [Mayweather then posted a photo of
50 Cent with the following title] a male
boxing groupie.. hold my belts because your
album sales have declined. [Mayweather
posted another photo with the title] f***
boy you look cute in that [TMT] jacket,"
Mayweather wrote.
"I respect the shooter, not the one who got shot
[referring to 50 Cent getting shot in 2000].
[Mayweather posted a final photo of 50
Cent with the following title] hold my money,
f*** boy."
