Not for singing. What if you sang a hook that was written already? Or they made you sign a work for hire contract to sing? I wonder if mike signed a work for hire contract.

I have never sang a hook that someone else wrote, but if they wrote it and I just was to sing it, hmmmm. I might just charge them a slide figure for my studio work. But that is a gamble because there is always that "what if" it goes big?

I am not sure how Mikes paper work was back then. I know his mind wasn't straight. But people can still be fair just in the way Master P was with Michael Marshall. Master P made sure that when he used a Michael Marshall sample he placed Mikes money away into Mikes publishing account and years later when Michael Marshall wasn't even thinking about that money he did an audit of his Royalties Due and had a nice chunk of change sitting there because Master P did the fair thing and was a good man about being honest when it came to the next mans talent and craft.

Sometimes it is easy for people to put money into their bank account but it isn't so easy to take money out to pay those of who justly earned it.
