Your views on the homeless....

youre sort of outruling health as a factor.
both mental and physical.
i think theres some stand up homeless people who are really in a rock and a hard place, and then theres those lazy homeless people who make the stand up homeless look like them.
sort of the same with race/racism in that sense, id say..

i agree with edj.
if a homeless man wants a job, he still has to do quite a few things to prep for this that may cost money:
getting a liscesnse that isnt expired, costs money at the dmv..getting a social security card costs money. granted that you even had medical insurance, prescriptions cost money.
if a homeless person wants a job? they have to buy clothes in order to look presentable. that costs money. when youre homeless, cleaning yourself costs money.
beyond all this, when youre introduced to the system (and trust, bieng homeless this will happen) you enter a cycle of fines. and cops will fine you.
all that shit costs. its not just as easy as running up into mcdonalds and getting a job. i realized that shit even when i wasnt homeless. i went to a interview for american airlines and they charged me 8 bucks to park.
had i not had money, i wouldnt have even been able to be seen, let alone have a chance at the job. let alone it would take money to even get to the airport.

Resources may be availiable, but if the people don't know where the resources are, how to obtain them or if they are ostracized for seeking them then what?
First off, do you (or an immediate family member) own a business? You are going to honestly sit at your computer and tell the board that you don't need money to make money? You can have your head and the greatest idea in the world, but if you don't have the resources to protect yourself via trademark registration, N.D.A's and business licenses (which ALL COST MONEY) then what? The question is does it take YOUR money? In some cases yes, but in other cases no, but to imply that it doesn't take money to make money is quite unrealistic.
You can have good communication skills all day long, but does that gurantee you success or a high paying gig? What of the secretaries who have GREAT communication skills but can't do anything else in the office, get laid off because the company is downsizing and can't find work? Do good communication skills go a far way? YES! Are they going to solve the issues of a homeless person? No way.
What are these basic tools to become financially independent? After you explain what they are I would like for you to answer the following questions:
1. If these basic tools are free why is it that 3 to 15% of this countries citizens own/control 80-85% of the nations wealth?
2. Children rank amongst the highest when it comes to hunger and being impoverished. Can you explain how these children should implement these "basic tools" to ensure they don't go hungry at night?

youre telling a homeless person to live in the projects.. (which costs money..)

maybe its just one of those things you have to experience or see/be involved with first hand to understand. i dont know.
theres things called "waiting lists" for projects that strech back as far as 2-4 years, bruh bruh..and im talking SHARED ROOMS, not single family apartments.

i think it would be easier and more beneficial for you to read a book i read that change my whole view on financials....its called rich dad poor dad what the rich invest in that the poor and middle class do not...its a pretty good book, and in it you will find the anwswer to your questions...if anything else youve extended your knowledge...and knowledge is power.

an estimated 25% of the homeless population are military veterans, another 25% come from fostercare... nevermind the other percentage plagued by drug abuse/alcholism and/or mental health issues (sure there are overlaps in this mental ven diagram), so seeing that this segment of society is a byproduct of 'the system' how can one expect this same system to have a beneficial impact... Yes the resources are there, and yes there is the good ol' motto of "pullin' yourself up by your bootstraps" but keep in mind these cases are the exception not the rule....
