Armen, I don't think you are partying hard, but I do think you're dependent on your drugs. I also do think there's other avenues to pursue, but you gotta decide for yourself if you're really willing to take them. if you're on disability then there's money coming in, although not much, but there's enough to eat. I think you are dependent on your pills for your relief, you may not be trying to get high but your body will depend on them and you go thru withdrawal without it, causing more pain, which makes you think you need them even more.

I wouldn't recommend pawning anything. Nobody ever goes back and buys it back from the pawn shop. Keep that jewelry Armen, the money you'd get for it isn't worth those items

you ever go to a food bank? nothing wrong with getting food if you need it, that's what its there for. a lot of their dry foods and canned foods are just as good as the grocery store, shit, they come from the grocery stores half the time.

i wouldnt pawn nothing of symbolic value like the two items you mentioned.
the money/groceries and the happiness that those bring will be transient and short lived.

if it gets tight you should sell your laptop/tv/game systems/ collectors items and make sure you get on the grind while eatin off the money that they bring.

basically start from scratch.

water-> food -> shelter -> clothes -> modern appliances

so if you need to sell your modern appliances to get things that should make up the foundation of your pyramid for survival, then make sure you do, until you re-acquire the necessities first, then build up for the luxuries

just a quick question out of curiousity, you said your parents are starving, what do they do for a living? Maybe your parents might need to find another avenue so you can get on your feet, then maybe after you get on your feet you'd actually be able to take care of them.

I remember you telling me you won your SSI appeal or whatever. You may be able to find a company to lend you money against that settlement. I would def look into that. Also, take advantage (not in a bad way) of all the social services your county has to offer, food stamps, prescription coverage/assistance, you should be able to qualify for emergency cash aid (GA). Look into government assistance to help you out before you start selling things you treasure.

I would be willing to bet if you walked into the food stamp office with all your documents, you could have your card and money on it by midnight tonight.

I wouldn't pawn it for sentimental reasons. If its the only keepsake I had to remember a loved one, I'd keep it. You can't put a price somethin' like that.

the xanax is not covered because it is not necessary. neither is marijuana. those two are drugs that have beneficial value but is not gonna be some life or death thing. anxiety, stress & your eating habits are all manageable things. if you can put your mind to it and look into other forms of dealing with them then you'll be able to move past them.

$636 a month seems obvious that this ain't the route to go. blood you gotta get a job, you can't just sit at home and wait to die.

Man there's so much random shit you can do to make money. Think outside the box mane. Check this out...theres a machine they sell at costco that converts video tapes to dvd at the press of a button. Get one and advertise on Craigs List "convert old wedding/birthday/whatever video tapes to DVD. $25 a pop." People with no technology sense really need this kind of shit.
Just sayin there's a lot of shit you can do from home that requires no talent and will make you just as much money as pawning your stuff.

Armen, probably you should've described your affliction better...don't you have nueropathy due to complications of your diabetus? Like besides horrible pain, won't parts of your body will be numb for months? That shit sounds horrible, so maybe you need that weed, but that xanax you gotta pull yourself off that shit and find some music, reading or something that will give you the mental fortitude to help you through your situation.

Don't pawn your shit...How old are your parents? if they are able they gotta try to find some kind of work, and in the mean time yall gotta be comin up with a side hustle. WHere's the Assyrian community, charities, etc.

^agreed @ xanax tip
from my own experience with all types of substances is that tolerance is a bitch and anything physically addictive will become something you dose yourself to avoid withdrawals from

I knew this guy who had liver cirrhosis from hepatitis c and was being perscribed 40mg oxycontins twice a day.
I know the difference between addiction and dependency, but i couldnt understand how something im very familiar with that is known for its quick building of tolerance , could be prescribed to dude when his enjoyment of its effects probably lasted 3 months before he began taking it to feel normal.

the last thing id want when im dying of liver failure is a struggle with addiction and withdrawals.
