Yeah I agree with Johnny Cash's version being better. Both are great versions thought. I remember reading that Trent said when Cash covered it that he felt it was no longer a NIN song but that it was now a Johnny Cash song and that it was one of the biggest highlights of his life to have Cash cover one of his songs.
