My opinion is this. Every time something negative happens and hits the national spotlight, cats are so quick to jump at the opportunity to speak on it, and put themselves into that spotlight.

Is it possible that E-40 isn't trying to capitalize off of this tragedy? The whole world already knows what happened, so E-40 stepping out to "speak on it" wouldn't really make a HUGE difference. Yea, people may listen to him...but the people that need to hear what is being said (i.e. the Police), won't be listening. So, I actually respect E-40 for not being the first one out there trying to get paid off some bullshit. Maybe he's helping behind the scenes, anybody think of that?
i gotta disagree... why is it when an artist speaks on a negative situation it's automatically a popularity contest? But when they don't speak on it, they get their ambassador's pass revoked? everyone talking about FAB being a spotlight hog when he has something to say and even drops a song about Oscar Grant.. but NO ONE calls Ap.9, Ise Lyfe, Zion-I, TOO SHORT, Kafani and the other artists who dropped songs or spoke about the situation a spotlight whore? Some of yall is two-faced in your opinions. You think people are trying to capitalize off the situation.. what if they are really trying to shed light on the situation and make it so the masses know whats going on besides what the media is saying?

and king of the o - you a retard...

I think people are saying Fab is an attention whore, because HE IS. Now, that does'nt mean this situation didn't touch home, but come on dude the shit he was saying wasn't the most insightful. Had this had not been on the heels of that chain snatching video debacle then you might have a point, but FAB IS AN ATTENTION WHORE. Again, not nockin his hustle, just stating the obvious.

I'm not saying EVERY artist is a spotlight whore, but in a lot of cases, this is a real thing. In this case, what are they shedding light on that nobody else knows about? The shit is on VIDEO! It's pretty cut and dry here, and unless these cats were THERE, they don't really know what happened besides what they HEARD, either!

I'm not saying that all artists are trying to capitalize off of it. I'm not speaking on Ise Lyfe or Fabby or anybody else. What I AM saying is that it happens a lot, and maybe E-40 isn't trying to come across as that type of cat.
