I would just like to take this time to address all of the fake musicians on myspace. When looking at the music charts it is very easy to tell who is real and who is fake. If these points apply to your profile, you are more than likely a fake.

1. You have 39043 plays a day, yet no one from your city knows who you are.
2. You have 397908509 profile views and no one from your city knows who you are.
3. You have less than 2,000 fans and hundreds of thousands of plays and profile views.
4. You have all amateur photos in your photo album. (Your supposed to be ballin, but can't afford to get some professional pics taken)
5.Your profile is jumbled with overly large photos and looks like it was slapped together in a matter of minutes.
6. You post multiple bulletins with different titles to try and make everyone open them up.
7. Inside those bulletins you have your music player posted 1-15 times.

These are just a few ways to tell who is fake on here. If you know anymore symptoms of a phony please feel free to add them to the list. I am tired of seeing nobodies wasting their time and augmenting the music charts to make them appear to be much more than they real are.

If many of the instances above apply to you, I have one message for you.

YOU ARE JUST AS FAKE AS YOUR PROFILE & MUSIC ON MYSPACE!
Does not appy to me at all...see sig pic for starters. Then proceed to visit my myspace page.

Where is Pino? He could maybe ID her. She looks like a Long Island or a Jersey girl though. Probably is with one of the "guidos" from that other thread or some shit lol.

I'll admit, I came into this thread with a semi smartass reply, but going back and reading the thread, I see this dudes (rmillerpacers31) point.

As far as myspace goes...

In reality, there are a lot of rappers on myspace that tend to leave comments like "Thank you for the support." or "Come check out my new song" fliers ect etc...thank God for approving before actually letting em' go up on my page. I delete all of em' (comments/messages). These cat's fucking up the game though. What worked for one dude, doesn't work for everybody. As soon as we hear what one dude did to break into the game...a million plus people rush the gate with the same game plan. Thinking, it's gonna work for em' too...trying to take a shortcut / overnight celeb and shit. I'm in no way saying I'm any big time dude...far from. BUT! they leave comments like "come show me love on my page, comment on my song." I'm sure they do that to a bunch of people...

I believe as long as you take the time (lots of it), to interact with people...not just use their myspace pages to splat em' with your fliers / promotions. That's just as bad as going to somebody's house you've only said "Hi" to a few times and stick your promotion stickers all over their cars and house...turn around and telling them, "Thank you for the support". First of all, they don't know who the fuck you are and don't really give a shit. This is why some people don't accept friend request from bands...cause some of you are full of shit thinking that by posting your bogus bullshit on somebody's page you automatically made an impact.

Fuck following the footsteps of the next man, step back and think of a new game plan. Cause the one you tryin' to use...there are a million plus doing the same shit. Unless, you think you can really stand out and shine in a crowd of a million people...go for it.

...but I tend to think that while everybody rushes and knocks on the front door that's locked, some people are smart enough to check for an open window, or try the back door.

You forgot to add

if a mofo has less then 300 comments(that means no one is supporting you)

Also if you put up songs over established artists beats.(be original the freestyle over another artist beats era is played)

Also if you have no picture comments(that means you def dont have the appearence)

number one thing if you hitting everbody up telling them how hot you are etc(you suppose to just drop your shit and keep it moving let the people be the judge)

PS. I noticed you are really pissed off and bitter at myspace whats up with all the myspace threads. Let siccness know

That explains why you been on there since 2005 with only 55,000 views and 4,500 friends.

You suppose to interact with your fans and people that makes them support you even more bc they will tell all they peoples about you tehn etc etc tehn shit will be popping off. The way I look at it if you not gonna bust your ass promoting your shit and making a difference then whats the real point of making a myspace music page. Its dumb to make taht shit tehn be lazy and just let it sit bc no one is gonna check for your azz if you not putting in work you gotta make mofo want you bc if you dont then the next nigga def will.

Also I said interact(acknowleding individuals) not spam(just promoting without individual acknowledgement.

Yeah me and a million other muthaphuckaz. You talk about being on there since 2005 and only 4,500 friends etc etc... like it's a bad thing...yeah, BUT what's the point of having 50.000 100.00 friends and over half of them muthaphuckaz go on for the next 3-4 years and never hit you up, or get lost in the shuffle? Believe me, as much as you may want to, it's real hard to keep up with everybody and establish any kind of relationship (on first name basis). Some people add you or vice versa on myspace for the simple fact of saying, they have you as a friend. How many unknown rappers have top notch artist and labels on their top friends just to look more than what they really are? Yet, never met any of them, or had any kind of contact with them in this lifetime!

You can also hold up a glass of beer in front of a crowd of people and tell em' it's the best beer they'll ever have and it taste great...once they take your word for it, buy a glass and lean in for a sip, they find out it's actually piss. That's what's happeneing with rappers promoting their music now a days.

Lazy? What the fuck is that? The new way to blow up is sit on your ass all day and promote on myspace? Man, Homie...there is a whole other world outside the internet that hasn't heard of alot of people. The worst thing to do is sit and wait on a dream to become a reality off the internet. Go back and see my pics, maybe then you'll see why I haven't spent too much time on myspace.

You failed to quote the rest of my post and clearly mis-read it. Above all you makin' it sound like myspace is the key to success, when us artist should be focused on making good music...everything else, will fall into place Homie.

are you a rap artist? you seem(in your own mind) to have the formula down for how an artist should successfully use myspace as a promotional tool. So you obviously put some thought into it. Im curious why you're thinking about this shit so much if you're not a rap artist. myspace don't really mean anything in the real world in my opinion. i don't think myspace can hurt an artist but it don't really mean anything. i know artists from Frisco that don't even have a myspace page and have a buzz that's way stronger than some artists that have 2 million myspace friends.
