you dont get paid that much right away but If you get multiple modalities (CT, MRI,etc.)under your belt and become a tech III or tech IIII you can make about 75-100 a year.

I was gonna do an X-ray tech program but chose to go to fuckin audio engineering school instead lol. Still paying for that 14000 dollar mistake

I'd be careful in a super specialized program like that, alot of people go for that program because its one of the highest paid 2 year degrees you can get. If you are unable to get a job as an xray tech you are tottaly fucked and stuck working at applebees till an xray tech dies and you get a job interview.

How is the job market in that field? seems like hella people are going for that shit, the job market looks like it can get flooded with 100000 GED flunkees who took the inititive to go to community college for 2 years and get certified.

I've looking to get a solid AA that can get my foot in the door of a decent paying career while i get my Bachelors and beyond. Right now I'm on the hype of the paralegal studies degree, still knockin out pre reqs though so i still have time. You can't go wrong with Health care, Legal and Criminal justice fields. Since they will never let my ass be a cop in 1000 years even if i wanted to lmao so legal or health care is the place to be 4 me. People are always getting sick or need to be bailed out of a legal jam, those fields can't get fucked up by the economy as much as other stuff.

I just don't want to make the same mistake as i did last time and go to school for a field its close to impossible to get a paying job in. I'm sure my bitterness showed in my post lol

My mom is a RN Nurse. She works with X-Ray techs, they do not make 80k a year.

This link is from salary.com

Um, I work with a lot of Techs that are making over $100K a year easily.

On call pay is ridiculously lovely.

It all depends on your modalities. The more you know the more you make. Its really that simple.

I've worked in a hospital for the past 5 years and work with these people on a day to day basis. They are getting breaded..

Its starting to get saturated but I dont think it will get that bad. My hospital still looking for another new rad tech and I just got hired right out of school last month. In a couple years it might be tough. From what I heard at a business luncheon in about 5 or 6 years there is going to be a huge shortage of Rad techs and other medical jobs and they will be in heavy demand again.

Eventually everyone will be an X-Ray tech. Seems like hella people are going to school for it, especially girls. Is everyone breaking bones these days or what?!?!?!? Drink more milk, FUCK!

BTW, I just got my Criminal Justice Degree, AS. It really wasn't that hard at all, if anyone is looking to just get an AS Degree. It's certainly better than a HS diploma.
