You know, I live in california and right now in this "scene" southerncali, they've got a lot of raves still happening, I know tech dont fuck with drugs, but man. These songs people are putting out have nothing to really evolve from, all these DJ's they got no real underground taste sure i've found things here and there. But I think it would be really fresh if strange could work with a DJ from the events it gets pretty wild, like Together as one i went for new years was fucking insane. ass everywhere. titties beer. loud bass. but VIP was the way to go fivteen feet from the pyrotechnics cant go wrong. but like I was saying, maybe adding a DJ with that style could open more doors for you guise, they even have artists showing up at events doing special apperences. All I see are people with lil wayne over techno, I wanna hear some trance tech n9ne and really, i've been doing more research into which underground favorites i've concluded with. as of right now Hopsin does have my rookie spot, Tech got the boss dog card, and Esham holds my underdog card. Um kottonmouth did pretty good. But really look into that shit strange. it could lead to exposer I sit in a raver chatroom allday and have ur music plus others waiting for the world. but im not one to push my opinion on people. anyways im out for awhile!

edit: oh yeah my bad Cognito i didnt mean to forget you, you're new to me but ur not a rookie so imma have to make a new spot for you. good fucking shit though.

that's fucked up to hear if it is what it is... Rob is definitely an asset in what he does

but if they can get Quik officially as an engineer then we are almost guaranteed the same level of quality

Rob is one of my BIGGEST influences when it comes to mixing. The more I've learned about mixing, the more I'm just in AWE when I listen to Strange albums that he did. He's a MONSTER. Its depressing to see how under-appreciated his contribution to Strange is. Tech and Kaliko and ALL them would NOT sound half as good without a bossy engineer like that. I'm sure Quik can do the job, but I doubt he has the subtle artistry of Rob. This is depressing news to me.

It is blatantly obvious that the people that matter, in this case Strange Music and the artists he worked with, appreciated his contributions greatly.. but at the end of the day it looks like it was Rob's decision... I just wish he would come on here and set the record straight..

You guys would never notice the diff and I would bet most of you don't even know what Mr. Rob Rebeck did in the first place.

You think Rob Rebeck is responsible for Strange Musics sound, as if now that he isn't going to do work for them anymore, they're going to sound like Cash Money? When you spend time in NY and LA you can't walk down the street without tripping over a well trained sound engineer.

You guys wanna know why Rob Rebeck is done working with Strange? Because Tech sits in the studio for 23 hours without getting work done and Rob has to be there the whole fucking time. No wonder he wants to go the fuck home finally.

At least that's what someone had told me a good while back.

I mentioned it a while back and Rob defended Tech saying it would be impossible for Tech to do that and not sleep etc. (even though I was clearly exaggerating) so either I was told false information (doubt it), or I said something that perhaps wasn't meant to be repeated to a hundred people.

I'm pretty sure this was a long time coming and well known about as well.

^Its true Rob was spending countless hours in the studio while the Strange crew was simply mingling in the studio and not actually recording anything. I don't think its necessary to book a studio session if you haven't written your material yet, but its not like my opinion on studio courtesy holds any weight.

If a dude like Rob got other shit to do, then he got other shit to do. I mean, I dont think he was an asshole about the subject, its just Tech is making it out to be too much then what it is. Maybe he did get tired of doing all them hours and helping make all them songs, maybe he doesnt have the dedication to long hours with no breaks and no interruptions like Tech anymore. People change and move on. People want to find another place to grow. They want to do other things, you cant be all like "He just UP and left on me!" or "Maybe my demons or my monsters caught up with me." Or whatever it says (i dont fuck with twitter) damn Tech, making sound like you married to Rob or sum shit! lol. Sad he left, but i mean shit happens!
