What with sadaam in office? He couldnt even aide his own people. He was a manic who needed to go. People try and call us the police of the world yet when we do something thats in our interests (oil), they say its wrong. And whats the fucking point of the U.N. when we hardly ever follow its advice. Didnt the U.N. not support this war? Am i the only out here that thinks that no other country would be able to go agaisnt the U.N.'s wishes without some sort of action by the U.N.? But i do like how other countrys tried to get in the iraqi rebuilded process after the war (oil). When in the begining they were clearly agaisnt it (france).
Was he a maniac who "needed to go?" I don't think that was our decision to make. Do you live in Iraq? How bad was it there? I'm sure it was'nt as bad as it is now.
You ask what is the point of the UN if we hardly ever follow its advice. What is the point of us if we hardly ever listen to the rest of the world. You're talking from a point of view that is so domesticated you can't see past the nose on your face. The US is not infallable...we are not the final word, especially since we have no idea what foreign affairs are.

actaully it should be our decision to make, he didnt deserve to be in power and the longer we waited to take him out the bigger the threat he was, we should of took him out of power during the first war. I never said or do i think the USA is not infallable. And ask the fucking kurds how it was under sadaam. And we have no idea what foreign affairs are? Now who cant see past there nose?

Why don't we just ask the american forces that waited on the sidelines of that Kurdish massacre, for an order that never came. The US govt. told the Kurds to rebel, and they did, under the assumption that our forces,(positioned near by), would back them up...and guess what happened :dead: you could say that the kurdish slayings were a direct result of our meddling in the middle east.

an order that never came from our government because at the time we were playing nuce with the UN and the same countries that had all the oil contracts that are bitching now were bitching then.

at least this time we did the right thing. theres an old saying that goes if you expect for something to be done right do it yourself.

FRENCH JEWS *MUST* MOVE TO ISRAEL!

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has urged all French Jews to move to Israel immediately to escape anti-Semitism.
He told a meeting of the American Jewish Association in Jerusalem that Jews around the world should relocate to Israel as early as possible.

But for those living in France, he added, moving was a "must" because of rising violence against Jews there.

France's foreign ministry said it had asked Israel for an explanation of the "unacceptable comments".

French Jewish leaders, interviewed on France-2 Television, said Mr Sharon's remarks were unhelpful.

"These comments do not bring calm, peace and serenity that we all need," said Patrick Gaubert, of the International League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism (Licra). "I think Mr Sharon would have done better tonight to have kept quiet."

"It's not up to him to decide for us," said Theo Klein, honorary president of Crif, which represents French Jewish organisations.

Hey...I mean what's a few eggs when you're making an omlette, right? (That seems to be the prevailing right wing mantra these days). Who cares if we were responsible for the almost complete anihilation of the Kurdish people? I mean, it's not like we told them to fight back against Saddam knowing that they would be slaughtered without our assistance...right? :dead:
