WHY IS THE BAY SEPERATING THEMSELVES FROM CALIFORNIA!!

Damn....a lot of y'all cats SERIOUSLY need a history lesson or somethin. A lot of y'all must just be goin off of what y'all hear people say, and not from what y'all know.

For one....when the WEST was on top, there was not even beef or tension between LA and the Bay....yeah LA was on top, but the Bay was NEVER far behind. When we had Death Row, Cube, and the rest, y'all had Short, 4Tay, 40, Digital Underground, Luniz, Dru Down, and many others gettin major play IN L.A! For y'all to say "LA didn't show love to the bay" and "LA didn't help the Bay" y'all were doin the damn thing as well! Not only that...but y'all REALLY think EVERYBODY in LA was united, and they ALL worked together and all came together with a "fuck the Bay" attitude??? Do y'all not realize that most cats from L.A. only fucked with certain cats that they grew up with??

Another thing most of y'all don't realize is that in the early and mid 90's, you didn't see too much collaboration between different artists who were from different cities, regions, camps, and especially from different record companies. Shit, you never saw Quik, Snoop, Cube, MC Eiht, or any of the main LA cats fuck with anybody from outside of their own camps, so of course they wouldn't always be reachin to do tracks with Bay cats at the same time.

So yeah...if anybody wants to go against that, let me know what it is, because that's just the real.

off top i dont think that LA cats come correct over "hyphy" beats but i mean it does unite cali. . the BAY and LA got 2 different styles and when they clash it dont sound right to me. . but we do need to find out a way to settle shit, YADADA!

I feel you. LA helped put the Bay on with the Hyphy movement as well, with all the love they showed us, it let get the attention back to the left coast. I love the Bay, and Ill rep the Bay aint got no hate for LA, i think a lot of cats on here just feel that LA and the Bay got 2 different swaggers/styles.

For one thing the style of music and how everyone dresses and talks in the Bay is a lot different than LA... back in the early to mid 90's we were kinda similar but the Bay has adapted its own unique style over the years. Also no one has really showed the Bay love for years... yeah I'm know there are certain artists and fans down South who have been showin the Bay love, but for the most part we've been on our own for years... until we start to blow up and people wanna be down with us all of a sudden. I think its cool to still connect with other areas, but I think we should stay reppin the BAY... we've been on our own all these years... we can stay like that

i don't know what you folks are talking about anyways, but back then, i've come across PLENTY of people from LA who fucked with artists like 40, Dru Down, The Luniz, and RBL.

and as far as the marketing shit goes, that mainly applies to the shit came out between 1997 and 2002... are you able to give a speech?
