IT SEEM LIKE SOME BAY AREA ARTISTS ARE REPPIN STRICTLY THE BAY AND NOT CALI. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT AINT A CALI THANG YA DIG. BEFORE THIS HYPHY MOVEMENT STARTED IT SEEM LIKE IT WAS A CALI THANG. i dont speak for everybody else, but its always been like that with me...before i even heard of the word Hyphy

and its funny because i noticed a lot of the socal cats are now tryna make it a "Cali thing" ever since this lil movement, its like the opposite.

because aint NOBODY been showin love for the bay (except a few rappers from LA) but on a consistant basis southern cali dont give a fuck about the bay SO ITS THE BAY ON MINE

This is an intelligent question.The way i see it,certain L.A. cats been hollerin' WEST COAST on they songs, but only fuckin with they own. Niggaz been bitin' bay slang fa years but aint been givin us no credit.DA GAME got put on by J.T.- not no L.a. niggaz.But i heard he is fuckin with YA boy, so i can't hate on him. My point is, when L.A. was hot they did'nt fuck with us, so the bay is like fuck everybody but us.Snoop been reppin cali for years, but where was the bay in his videos? I guarantee u when the bay blows all the way up, watch how L.A. niggaz and everybody else try to try to fuck with us.

Because The bay is different from the rest of California. Up here we dress different, talk different and just look different. I will say down south yall have way better hoes. But other than that. Look at our state flag mann, it says CALIFORNIA REPUBLIC, we need more unity for our state and we need to keep the bullshit beefin over colors out of it.

And folks need to quit frontin sayin southern cal never shows any love to the north. shit when snoop and da eastsidaz was in their prime they put 4-tay and mac minister on their album didnt they? there's more examples but what's the point..

when L.A. was hot, they wasn't fuckin wit bay cats...i remember back in the early 90's when the bay was blowin up, we got outshined by LA on a national level cuz thats when snoop was blowin up too...back then it was always a socal thang...i mean there were a few collabos here and there but nothin to unify all of cali...with the movement we got goin on now, bay rappers and fans just want to finally get the respect and exposure the deserve...with that said, i aint gonna hate on socal...shit, i say lets include socal in our movement and finally make it CALI thang....

if you notice... the Bay has even segregated themselves. I noticed The Sco isn't as hyphy as the rest and stick to the script of "Mobb Music". I don't hear niggas in the Sco reppin the Bay, they rep the Sco. As far as So. Cal... that's just 2 different credd of niggas who haven't had the proper introduction. Cube been fucking with 40 for years, and vice versus.
