yeah thats real talk. there are cats out there taking the DYI approach, hitting up malls, the beach and other places...too bad 9 times out of 10 they aren't even from the west...at least from my experience. Every dude I run into in daygo thats tryna sell me a cd is either from the midwest or the south. I think the motivation/lazyness stuff dudes were saying earlier definately have something to do with it.
It seems like artists in sd just stop after a while. just keep the buzz going! I havent heard anything big from sd since U.S.S. I know there is more. Still waitin for Ecay, Cricet, more Mitch, Jayo, Damu, and i know there's more. i dont think any of em came out with any albums in 07, correct me if i'm wrong, thats a whole year without any of our big artists releasing anything! Being out of the country, this is the only place i know where i can find sd rap/hip hop lp's or mixtapes. my bad, i forgot to mention the Messy Slick joint. But we need more than 1 lp out there.
I can relate to this shti 100%. Esp talking to females & youngstas about rap music. That's the last convo I wanna get into. Most bitches don't know shit about rap & most youngstas are retarded when it comes to the subject as well. I've got into to too many heated arguements(which shouldn't of turned into arguements) wit people about music cuz they are all either on some local shit or some radio/club shit & act like that's the best shit out.

Google is your friend...If you have a phone dial 411...look at the yellow pages....post a new topic asking....go to other sites and do the same.It is not a secret society these places are in the business of making money, they want to press your c.d up. If you cant afford to press up 1000 c,ds for about $1100 which includes shrinkwrap..barcode and other benefits then press up a few hundred..it may cost more but if you sell them at $7 a pop then you will make enough to press 1000 and still have a money for yourself. Hope no one is thinking about pressing up any ,more because truth is most of yall will be stuck with c.ds sitting at your house...unless you hit the streets and push.

Real shit... I was a victim of that. Only I was dropping other artist down south wit the doe I made. It wasn't until I caught my charge is when I myself started dropping to pay off my finez.. If you are anything like me take this approach, take that $300 u would buy a zip wit go to diskfaktory.com. order you a bulk pack for $100 and do what you do best, hustle. Niggas respect it when you in the street wit yo shit. Not to mention the people you meet. If you got hustle itz a win win. even when I kame back to Kali, i wuz still on the same hustle tip. All it took wuz not to re up once, press cd's, and I haven't re up'd since. Oh, take the remaining $200 and get you some studio time.....

Some artists actually do have nine to fives cuz they all knew in the first place that they aint gonna just live off of music esp. nowadays so yes, it's essential for you to keep your main job as your primary source of income and your music as your side!! Just like me, plus I'm headin back to school for more experience...

Nothing is sellin as much as they used to be cuz the economy here is horrendously fucked up!! I seriously dont blame everyone out here who are struggling...
To be 100% reel honest with you guys, if I didnt have to worry about payin rent & bills plus utilities & gas, I wouldve bought every good cd already...
Plus I rather make these tough sacrifices and rather invest all my hard earnings to launch my art & music career & most importantly, eventually move outta here & buy me a house in another state where the enomony is flowingly stable!!!
This is why I gotta stay in full focus!! Besides, I'm headin back to school later this year & I seriously couldnt wait......
