I GOT A BAD COLD AND HAD TO QUIT FOR LIKE A WEEK... AFTER THAT I STARTED NOTICING HOW NASTY MY JACKETS SMELLED, AND HOW NASTY CIGARETTE SMOKE SMELLED. AND HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS.

SO I JUS QUIT

I quit 2months ago cold turkey. Smoked a lot of Seattle finest to help the first couple weeks. Now I usually hit the volcano every other day or so. I'm on a super health kick cuz I was so tired of drinkn and smokin cigs and tree. Plus newports went up to 9$ a pack. I'll never smoke again. I was on newports since I was 14-15 and I'm damn near 29 now. F. Smoking

damn all this talk about smoking makes me want to smoke...shit! but 9 dollars a pack, fuck that. Ive been going strong for the past 4 months with no smoking.

the problem I have is I like smoking and I like to get out and have a change of atmosphere, especially if its at the bar or club and go outside and smoke.

get yourself a really horrible cold and let it develop into bronchitus or a pnuemonia, all of your desire to smoke will be gone. and if you do manage to smoke it will be such a horrible experience that you'll think twice about doing it again. in the couple weeks it takes you to recover you should be able to fight the cravings a lot more easily afterwards. worked for me

I "quit" a few years ago

I still smoke a few cigs when I'm drinking, but cigs are just nasty if I'm sober

I never even buy packs now, except when I was in Vegas... I was buyin packs, because I was wasted 23 hours out of the day, and nobody else I was with had cigs

I've tried to quits probably about 100 times. Longest I lasted was like 4 months. I want to quit now but I just quit drinking and I've been going to AA meetings and EVERYBODY smokes that goes to AA. I'm gonna try again once I hit my 1 month sober mark. I got like 18 days so far. Plus being unemployed and dropping almost $10 a day on a pack of Newports is literally the definition of retarded.

I've tried everything to quit, patches, gum, classes you name it. The only way you're going to quit is if you truly want to quit. Good luck to all you trying to quit, probably one of the hardest things anyone can go through as fucked as that sounds.

U GUYS KNOW THAT NEWPORTS IS ONE OF THE WORST CIGARETTES FOR YOUR BODY RIGHT? BUT THATS ALL I BOUGHT WHEN I WAS SMOKING, MOST OTHER MENTHOLS ARENT THE SAME.

P.S. THOSE ELECTRONIC CIGS ARE BUNK IMO. I TRIED TO QUIT USING THAT AND IT DIDNT WORK AT ALL. DOSENT FEEL THE SAME AS SMOKING AT ALL, AND DOSENT GIVE U A GOOD BUZZ (EVEN WITH THE STRONG CARTRIGE)

yeah newports got fiber glass in the filter; yo lungs get cut up so the nicotine can get in ur systems harder n faster.

menthols take an additionl 15 years off ur life compared to non menthol

This is very true @ N/A , A/A Meetings . Everybody smokes cigs , but I have been since I quit I bring an ipod so people don't bug me on smoke breaks - but being around smoking @ work has actually made me want to stay smoke free - my bosses (the big cheese - the district manager - ) have all givin me the thumbs up when they see Im the ONLY one not smoking . - Its just 1 more thing in my arsenal - Cigz will kill you - THATS REAL ! why were we so stupid . ???

But it is what it is - its only a smoke .............. I hope weed don't do me bad ........
