Lyrics - is what a rapper writes homie. As far as the best allthat shit is opinionated! who selling they shit Koast 2 Koast. I kan pick up up Mitchy shit in Best Buy in Nebraska . As well as The Sidewayz Camp. So answer this would u rather have a nigga on siccness.net say u was better lyrical but be known only in in your city. Shit I rather have My CD everywhere in the united States and B an unlyrical(whatever that means)rapper
some of you are hilarious hearing a song on myspace and judging your opinion on someone in entirety...cop an album then judge..thats just my opinion

Having good lyrics is opinion, to a point. Meaning, there are some dudes who are so close in their skills that it is very much one persons opinion about who they prefer.
But if you're gonna say that comparing MC Joe's lyrics to say, Ecay's lyrics is a matter of opinion, I'm gonna have to say no.
And as to the tough question of whether or not I'd rather be well-distributed or lyrical, I'd have to say, "why not be both?" I'm sure you see a lot of well-distributed garbage that you'd never buy in that store, don't you? What do you think of them? You'd rather be them than you becuase theyre in the store?

i think the point of the thread was for PEOPLE WHO HAVE HEARD OF THE ARTISTS. not someone whos like "well ive never heard of these two...but this guys the best" or.. "well i heard this one song and he sucks, so this guys better"
if you hear one or two songs...your opinion in this thread dosent really matter IMO because all of the people mentioned have catalogs. like, 3-4 albums deep if not more.

But Still Tho, The Question Was Asking Who Was The Best Lyrically Out Of Those 4 Artists.. So Whether Its Opinion Or Not, Thats What The Title Was Asking For.. Believe Me I Feel What U Sayin Tho.. i feel u gas.. ecay produces beats, raps, and sings.. thats a real musician.. but at the same time i chose ecay just for his bars, since the question was on lyrics alone.. all them dudes on that list got fire.. there's sumthin they all make that i bump, its just ecay gets more play frm me.. actually i bump a lotta sidewayz too, but they chose beta over dodo, young holly, and diesel for the lyrical rep.. so i went wit ecay..
i agree. all the artists on the list are good for their own reasons..ecay is definately the one standout of the four that fits in the 'lyricist' group
and definately..theres so many more artists out there that are deserving of the same praise these four have gotten
i think even dumbed down/simple lyrics need to be look at as lyricism...its the same art...its just minimalized...sometimes simple things are more complex to say
