JMM

Save all those other big named fighters for Amir Khan.
No reason for Manny to eat them all up.

Also, Steward is the most racially biased commentator in the history of boxing. The guy grew up in Detroit, in the 50s and 60s. All he does is praise other black fighters. He does it in interviews, during commentary, etc. You just have to look for it.

Pac needs to retire.

No one left to really fight and he can't get that fight so fuck it. If he fights Ortiz people will say Ortiz is green. If he fights Berto they will say Berto is shot and coming off a loss (even though he only has one loss.) If he fights Marquez you'll hear chants of Marquez being shot. He can't fight CHRISHOGGALYPSE because CHRISHOGGALYPSE can't make the weight.

Just go ahead and retire Pac.

Why does Floyd refuse to go toe to toe with Manny? Was the truth of that rumor revealed? Regarding how Floyd wanted Manny to take a drug test for PED's

I think Floyd would take out Manny though, as it would be a fight for the ages but the chances are highly unlikely at this point to make arrangements for the brawl

Manny should fight Ortiz next in a unification bout. Arum is bad for boxing (putting together bunk fights, cherry picking opponents for Manny, blaming Floyd all the time, etc...), I don't want to hear that BS about fighting against a Golden Boy fighter. Golden Boy fighters come to fight/win that's why Arum doesn't want to match Manny up with a Golden Boy fighter.

So now that's the new excuse.

858 quit lettin' Manny tea bag you!

Marquez earned the right to fight Manny next, he has been chasing this fight for years now. I will be looking at the David Daiz fight to see if Marquez is slowing down he is 38 yr old now. Manny better work on his game because Marquez will counter punch him, if he throws those wild punches like he did in the Mosley fight.

Ortiz dont deserve a big fight like that yet but you know how them faggots at top rank pick fights. You have to either be coming off a loss or show that your skills have declined before you can get in the ring with Manny or better yet not be that talented but win a big fight against an overrated fighter. Give Marquez his shot, we all know Manny never got the better of him so they have been avoiding him

they sent marquez the contract already today, so as long as Golden Boy can't match it (which they shouldn't be able to), the fight will be marquez III in November.

Details here:

As for Ortiz, I agree with you he's not ready, he needs another fight or two, but the main reason why he's not an option is he's golden boy. There hasn't been a top rank vs golden boy fight in a couple of years now, not in any weight class.

Marquez: I've Accepted The Pacquiao Offer

By Miguel Rivera

WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has announced that he accepted a revised offer to face WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on November 12 in Las Vegas. Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, had advised BoxingScene.com that he sent the revised offer to Marquez on Monday morning. The offer presents Marquez with some very lucrative terms, including a $5 million dollar guarantee.

According to Marquez, the catch-weight is going to be 144-pounds, as outlined in the revised offer, and not 145-pounds as previously disclosed by Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz.

"I'm going to take the offer. It's the fight I've been waiting for and I want to fight him," Marquez said.

Marquez's former promoter, Golden Boy Promotions, has the option of matching the offer presented by Top Rank. Marquez does not expect them to match the offer, because of the weight involved.

"Let's see what they offer (Golden Boy). They must match the offer and also the weight. There was talk that they wanted to get me Saul Alvarez, but I don't think he can make the 144-pound limit," Marquez said.

oh damn, not so fast! Looks like Golden Boy is quick to match the offer...

Richard Schaefer: Marquez vs Ortiz At 144

The LA TIMES is reporting that Schaefer will match the 5million offer and HBO will get on board to stage Marquez vs Ortiz in SEPT.

1 pound? whats wrong with 145? i dont get into the politics. i just watch the fights.
this one is a little confusing, but basically Marquez' contract is coming to an end with Golden Boy, however legally Golden Boy has the rights to match any offer Marquez gets from another promoter. So lets say Top Rank offers him the Pacquiao fight at 144 pounds with a $5 million guarantee (that's the weight JMM requested), Golden Boy has the right to match that and if they can, Marquez is obligated to take the fight with Golden Boy.

if that happens I'll feel bad for JMM, he wants the Pac fight so bad. Plus, fighting Ortiz you'd have to imagine Ortiz would weigh close to 160 pounds on fight night. Whereas pac and jmm would be about the same size.

If it happens it would be JMM vs Ortiz with possibly Canelo Alvarez on the undercard, which would be a big Mexican draw. That's the only way I can see them bringing in that kind of money.

And if that happens Pacquiao's options are down to Timothy Bradley or Zab Judah. Most likely king headbutt.
