both Contraband and Complex have new material coming out this year both produced by and featuring myself, and y'all will be happy with this product.... it's what you're lookin 4 from Dago....
I SMOKE TO DAMN MUCH. BUT HONESTLY I HOPE ECAY GETS HIS PROPER DUE THIS YEAR. YOUNG SAU GOT GAS, Halon GOT THAT CRAZY SLIM SHADY TYPE FEEL BUT A LIL MORE HOOD. AND IF QUEENIE GETS OUT, THAT WILL GO HARD! I WANNA SEE A LICWIT ALBUM THIS YEAR (AND I BETTER BE ON THAT BITCH TOO,LOL). THERES JUST SO MANY SO I STOP HERE CUZ IM TOO HIGH TO THINK RIGHT NOW.
yeah dat.... you know i stay doin my independent grind, gettin into this shit out of town.... maybe this year, maybe 2010.... but i'm gettin deep enough to actually be ready....
SD "artist" need to learn from real artist like Mitchy and get out there and grind. Far too many lames post up a track over some1 elses beat on myspace and then want to consider themselves "artist". They think spamming by e-mail and messages is "grinding". Shit's real weak out here in the SD. We got talent out here 4 sho but mutha fuckas need to learn from markets such as the Bay Area and Houston.
SD is too hood, that's the problem. Their sound would have to change like the Bays to make it nationally. People look to the South's sound right now, basically why the Bay and everyone else sound similiar. I think it's wack sounding to be honest (nothing I'd bump on my own time), but if that's what it takes to get an SD artist out there and put the city on the map, then whatever. People want to hear club beats, heck that fatass Down from LA made it further than anyone from SD with that one song Lean Like a Cholo. lol It is what it is, times are wack and it's all because of the South's great influence. I blame those fools for laying down a lame ass foundation. Rap is all business, this ain't the 90's no more when shit truely came from the heart. You ain't going to make it right now if your rapping about local gang shit, drugs or other real dark serious shit. Rap is so broad now interms of fans, most won't comprehend. Lil Samantha and Cory from Rhode Island won't comprehend.
Young Mass, Kayo, Young Sau, Mitchy, Baby Bandit, Smigg Dirtee, Play B, Dave Moss, Damu, Sno White, 3 Ball, Googie, R Beta, Deep Rooted, Chrymes, Hood, Criccet, and the list goes on.....
I dont wanna talk about with who and what i'll be doing, but i'm talking with the homie and im gonna host/executive produce an album and we're gonna give SD something they have never seen created yet. I think the person i'm in talks with has what yall wanna hear lyrically and i have the vision and blueprint to make sure the entire thing slaps and is some next level movie-script shit, but authentic SD to the core like rolled tacos, california burritos and bammer being sold on 12th and imperial..
Just do this for me. when yall see something with a cover thas drawn and not on that photoshop shit, every song slaps and the lyrics go harder than anyone you heard out in cali...and you hear somethin pushin the line for SD rap and music in general...support it...dont download it...make sure you pick the album up. we gon' do this for yall who want to see san diego rap take it to a level where you feel proud and shit.
maybe siccness will help a nigga out and put it in the shop when its all said and done.
you herd it here first...just be on the lookout....we gon keep it a secret but i hipped yall to game just now..
Beyond that, Rap Or Die signed a distribution deal with City Hall... So catch M.I.C, DJ Junk, And Gas One coming at yall on that other level with it...
oh and shout out to young sau and heaterville. stay busy, folks...
