bossman hogg.. hes style is raw.. he sound west and south. imo he got a voice that is both steet and mainsteam.. with the right producer he could be the one that put dago on the map.

I aint even trippn on music..I just do it now cause I enjoy it, but I did sell my car to work on another project and it did nothing. He spends too much time locked up and I figure if you have that much time to be gettin in trouble then you should have no trouble puttin in some effort in your career..too much talk...sad because even though I mess with more talented artists...people was feelin him and we had some good shit going, but he dropped the ball on his first attempted murder case he beat.
we talkin bout Dago anyway....

Also..I was reading a book one time about the record business and the Author held many positions at one point or another. He mapped out what you need to do to start a label or put an album out. One question he got was.."how much do I need to invest"...to me this is common..seems everyone wants to put the least into something. anyways his answer "as much as you possibly can get a hold of". It only makes sense because if you are as hot as you think you are and then it should be nothing to invest in yourself...truth is When it comes to investing thats when the doubts come in..might as well hang it up. Id say find an investor..but if you have doubts of recouping then why would anyone else invest. When i see artists who aint willing to let their nutts hang and put it all on the line...are they gonna give the same effort on all other aspects of the business after the songs are done?

PUT SUM MONEY WHERE YA MOUTH IS LOL

^^well mitchy already has a fan base outside of dago which is real important if you want to make it big..hes makin major moves with strong arm steady and talib qweli, he was just on a major tour and in my opinion hes one of the hardest hustlin rappers outta dago, his work ethic is consistent becuz he doesnt go years without a cd being dropped and so far hasnt fucked up release dates, he also has a hard image that can fuck with mainstream if brought up right

for bossman hogg i just think he has some kinda mainstream appeal that he can deffintly use, after hearing his "the movement" track i really think he can do something for dago, im not sure how old he is though so i dont know about the age and the only thing kinda holdin him back is that we still havnt seen any new shit from him

for gangsta gold mac i think his style can fit the radio if he fucks with the right prodcution and he got some heat rocks, he just dropped a new mixtape lil while ago and i seen he had a couple videos out also, he grinds hard

EDIT:to heaterville

Usually I would go with Ecay, Mitch, & CS when the whole best rapper in Daygo topic comes up but going by Heaterville's terms Ima have to go with Dollabillgates. I don't know dude like that to judge his hustle game or work ethic but from the material I heard I think he has the swag, appeal, and potential to put the city on the map in the mainstream. I also think Young Sau, Young Noiz, and Rasan can do some damage in the mainstream if they had a shot but again, I can only make that judgement off the material I heard from them.
CS i mean im proud of dude buyin a house of rap money but G that dont make you the best G... Rasan??? i wonder how he feels about that comment.. i mean im not tryin to clown rasan, but damn im surprised u would pick him over ALOT of artist out here

yea Mitch been doin his thang he was fortunate to have everything including controversy go his way at the right time and all that.. but Strong Arm Steady is weak, theyre LA, thas not Dago, PLUS what is Xzibit doin?? like what is goin on?? and really tho how old is Mitch?? do you think any major label is gonna invest in sumbody that old?? theres alot to talk about when it comes about him we cant take away all the shit he has done but none of us have reaped any type of benefits from it at all

strong arm steady in your opinion may be weak over here but outside of cali they got a huge fan base, especally in the midwest for some reason, they makin moves and hustlin im not knockin that, as for mitch his foot is already in the game so he has the most potential, he might be alil old but hes bascilly already in the game compared to these other rappers, i think his aint my fault vid coulda done sumtin on the stations

once again who has benefitted from it tho??? yea they makin paper n all dat but are they sellin records?? like alot of records?? like how has he made the town better or more connected by doin what he is doin?? like how important are these midwest fans?? fans are fans but there is a difference... sum fans dont have the ears for big time records... like if you grew up in montana or nebraska sumwhere yea u might be a big time strong arm steady fan but like what is that doin for dago?? if they had a buzz in places where fans count it might be different but the midwest aint nuthin out there ... aint nobody blew up out tha midwest either so theyre vote wont count like a fan from NY, or ATL feel waht im sayin?? its almos like when u vote for the president... they got delegates , sum states have more delegates than others.. jus because they big in new mexico, or nebraska, or montana, or indiana,, dont mean they big, my idea of foot in the game is if you have a solo career and youre signed to a major record label for backing

After close to $20,000 Im still at ground zero, investing in rap is not the best investment right now anyways.
20,000?? wow,, so maybe what ur sayin has a lil point since you put sum money into the game im pretty sure that wasnt all at once and if it was then sumthin didnt go right... but music is an investment like anything else... those that put money in houses las year losin money n got they houses forclosed so hey... thas how it goes sumtimes... jus like u said about Donald Trump if you fall u get back up n try again... u cant jus quit n then get on siccness n talk about youre perspective from tha sideline... we need a 50 cal thas talkin and walkin.. not jus talkin... feel what im sayin tho cuz i kno u have alot to say about the game and some of your points are extremely valid... you might wanna question your taste and re-evaluate where the music is goin... you can even put your faith in sumbody wit better ears for good music that mite work for you too!! but you have too much to say to jus be sittin on the sideline n sayin it... WE NEED 50 CAL to SPEND!!! Dago artist too please lol... if you had 150,000 right now to spend on a artist from dago who would it be??

i personally think me.

fuck it.

i aint even gonna front.

right now, lets face it - the 2 hottest things in the streets are gay ass dances.... YOOOUUU or hot ass multi-syllable rhymes (weezy, game, papoose).

i aint doing no YOOOOOU, but ill be damned if most dudes in SD can see me with a 10-foot pole. i aint saying this to sound cocky... im just being real. some dudes it aint they forte.

regarding age. im 24, shiiiit. perfect

image. same image as weezy & game. a tatted up 25 year old mother fucker who loves hip hop - can fit on a west coast beat. an east coast beat. a south beat. a dude in & out of jail & a very opinionated mother fucker. a funny ass sense of humor in lyrics usually goes a long way too.
only difference is the race.

work ethic - i bust my ass in the studio. for this album, ive recorded over 150 songs... im working on a classic debut. & if someone aint coming nice, i cut they ass on the features. i have songs with YUKMOUTH & KURUPT & they might get cut just based off of the certain sound im working on.

hustle.... shiiit..... to be honest, im a single father, who has 2 full time jobs, plus i rap, & dj. shit. u do the math. ive still been able to get my music on Z90, 989, 91X, 933 & even KSON!!!!... plus ive been a guest for interviews on numerous stations in & out of SD. ive been featured on stations in the bay, in la, in the ie, in detroit & even in canada. c'mon now. this was all WITHOUT AN ALBUM RELEASED!

anyone who wanna doubt me about anything on here, feel free to hit me up so i can prove you wrong.

i aint even released an album yet, but seem to be on the ins & outs of every SD function. shiiiiiit.

when my album drop, i think ill be able to finally put my foot down on the game in SD & alot of people will get what my stand point is.

1st off i think SD rappers need to stop releasing every song they do. some songs aint hot, leave the shit on the cutting room floor.

i also think, not just SD but HIPHOP in general needs to start working on ALBUMS rather than just making a HOT SINGLE. how many times have u bought a CD cuz of the single & the shit was garbage. FAT JOE has needed to release an album like EVERY YEAR for the last 5 years to stay relevent. shits rediculous. u cant even tell which single is on which album anymore

when i make it in the game.... on a major stand point..... imma be pissing alot of industry rappers the FUCK off. put that on me.

also, that GANGSTER RAPPER image... it came back hard a few years ago, but that shit is fading out quick. u can still make agressive songs, but theres no reason to rap as or even pretend (SOME SD RAPPERS) that ur down with a certain set or area. sorry to tell yall but SPRING VALLEY IS NOT SOUTH EAST.
Freaks...I like ya but lets face it you have about zero chance of making it...why?

1.You have no image...It doesnt matter that you are white..if you was that hot and had an image and hustled hard you would have a fan base....which leads..

2. 150 songs....this is what Im talking about by the time you put an album out high waters, bell bottoms, and jherri curls will be back in style...If you have been on the radio all over the place that mus mean some people wanna hear ya shit right...so why arent you pushin units?....It aint just you alot of artists recording and stay in the studio but they are in the same position

3...Like Im saying freaks Im just giving my opinion ..not dissing you..I know you can rap...But the finished product I have heard probably to keep it real might sell between 250-500 if you push hard.

4. You do not get it...There is a reason why fat Joe pushes Units now....he has learned,,he gets it..Freaks Staying in the studio is not helping you progress...i always hear you comment on Gangsta rappers and how this and that needs to change....its harder to change millions of people...easier to make minor adjustments to yourself. Hustling aint working two jobs and cooking eggs and grits...getting on radio is cool at first but to test how effective it is I should be able to go up to 20 people in Downtown dago or fam Mart and at least 5 people should know who you are.Id be surprised if one knew you...and again Im just calling it how i see it..what do i know..just an opinion...But hope you can maybe see some shit i say and take something from it

what did dago have before mitchy besides a bad rep for runnin artists of stage and jayo?? gettin a whole city into the game doesnt happen with one move, mitchys grindin hard and if he wasnt doin anything he wouldnt be on the source, on bet, and on suckafree sunday, dago is slowly gettin there but they still movin, if mitchy didnt have some kinda impact Klack Klack Klack wouldnt be all over suckafree sunday lol

I would say 2 cats.
Mitchy for obvious reasons. His music is dope, he has solid producers around him and regardless of anything, he's probably the only cat from Dago making noise around the nation. Plus I fuck with Janky and I know they are on their grind.

And number 2 has been mentioned a few.

YOUNG SAU

I've heard Sau on so many joints and he never comes wrong. I've heard him gangsta shit and then on some pop/R&B type shit. People better wake up, plus I know he does crazy shows with HeaterVille.

Yeah you right..I can also admit my age and taste is a direct reflection of my lack of enthusiasm in where the game is going. I do realize that it aint what I like..its whats gonna sell. Yeah I invested in two projects and 1 i had to scratch completly after it was all recorded, and I aint mad at no one or the situation i am in its all part of the game and the risk of doing business...Im currently doing a lil project with Young Sau...been slidding him some beats that I bought....some may have heard him perform on that rock sample a few weeks ago, and he recorded the song the other night at the BatKave. b stone was there and some others..but that project is not so much me trying to make some money, but to help him and to just do it cause I like it.

put your $$$ on Cee Wee 3 & Googie Monsta, get some cooperation going with Heaterville and make some music for the Club & Radio. As for Mitchy Slick's "Ain't My Fault", its got a similar sound to Jim Jones "Love Me No More". Ain't no reason why it shouldnt be geting major Video & Radio rotation, considering the plugs he's got in the industry. Just my opinion from my perspective.

remember the saying if it dont make dollars it dont make sense "Dj Quik"....At the end of the day how has it benefited dago as the original question asked? Also has that helped him in Sales? I think Mitchy was at his best during trigeration station...and he is responsible for promoting himself. It costs to get on the road and be a rapper...but he needs to recoup after all these expenses...I think JAy O put Dago on the map....but he hogged the ball, or didnt know he could pass the ball.

you can put half of that $150,000 on a new leery gang project:
mooch massive
cee wee 3
LC janet
googie monsta
ecay on the beats..

thats all you need, the image and lyrics are already taken care of.
maybe a cool feature for a hot single or somthin..
youll have a cd that would definitely sell units.
the last leery gang lp gotta be in the sd top 5
