I like how a couple of blacks in particular, look past the erroronous ways of some African Americans on this board who are antagonizing and provoking WHITE people to say such a word.

Your reply reminded me of something I saw a while back. About 6 months ago, my girlfriend and I went to a comedy show held at Fresno State University, which featured almost all African American comedians, with a very large percentage of BLACKS in audience. Anyways, the last comedian was finishing up his act as he called out a WHITE guy from the audience to come on stage. Keep in mind that the crowd was about 95% BLACK. The comedian and the WHITE guy from the crowd were doing a bunch of random acts until the very end, when the crowd was getting all into it. The comedian told the WHITE guy to repeat every word he said to the crowd. I don't remember what the first couple of phrases were, but they were pretty funny and they were getting the crowd into it. Until finally, he looked into the crowd and said something like "BY NIGGAS" and the WHITE guy couldn't help but repeat it, as the exchange of words were moving at a fast pace. Half of the crowd continued to laugh, while another part returned "OHHH's" and "AHHHH's".

Although on the surface these two seperate occasions seem unrelated, I think with some thought you can find the link.

Im not going to bring names into this, but in numerous other threads, I was provoked by ****** as he was talking to me in his childish slave talk, as to imply that I was some sort of slave owner. He did this MANY times in different threads and posts. He then proceeded to reply to me by saying "Your kind", and I in one instance--after he yet again mummered it slave talk--replied with "THATS RIGHT BOY".

Looking at something like this, your only conclusion is that I uphold WHITE SUPREMACY?

Actually at the time when the staightening of hair first took place (late 1800's?)---the idea was to look more acceptable (white!) and that was due to years of devilishment and pillaging of the black mind....but also to build a backwards form of self esteem which served its purpose...and is outdated but has become a staple in black culture. As far as cats like me who don't appreciate white boys with braids---i think its the struggle that comes with braids, locks, etc...form the jump until recently black hair styles have been ridiculed or passed off as negative, now all of a sudden because pop culture says shits cool i am supposed to shake it off as its just hair when muthafuckers really was dealt some damage just because of there hair. it will never be that simple.

That's what i'm saying. I enjoy coming on this message board; it's one of the first things I do when I come home from work/school, but when im out doing what I have to do in life, I am not really thinking about anything that goes on here. I work 6-7 days a week--over 50 hours, I go to college 3 days a week for about 4 hours a day, I have a girlfriend to spend time with, I have meetings once-twice a week (which im not going to discuss), I have hours of homework and studying to do, and somewhere in between it all I sleep. Needless to say, the thought of handeling some internet-funk offline, is simply a laughable idea in my eyes.

He seems to be coming from the same place I am, but with a little less patience, time, and willingness to work together.
