Are we forgetting Jones' past? He had a WORSE YPC than Alexander last year, and has a similar problem of fallng when hit. So we just dumped SA, and got a clone back...what was the exact point of that?

I dont like Jones'...never have. I was PISSED when we picked him up...and am still pissed NOW.

Thats understandable, but if they knew they were going to pick up a FB in the draft, why the fuck did they go and get Duckett? I mean, lets be honest here..isnt one of the FB's job is to get SHORT yardage? We know have 3..yes count em 3 FB's on our roster at this moment. Kirtman has been showing he can do what Duckett is SUPPOSED to.

Why pay EXTRA money for a guy like Duckett, when he may only see the ball once or twice a game...maybe not EVEN used at all???? Thats fuckin STUPID.

If Forsett loses a spot on this tream because of Jones/Duckett, im going to be PISSED THE FUCK OFF.

Fuck Duckett and FUCK Jones.
Settle down, Forsett is going to make the team, don't worry. They will find a spot for him by carrying fewer defensive players than normal, and his initial role will be to return kicks. I just watched the Bears game on my DVR and god damn he looks good, I can't believe he lasted as long as he did in the draft. I was also at his high school a couple days ago (Grace Prep High School, Arlington TX)and talked to his old football coach, had some pretty cool stories about him.

I do understand what you're saying about the 1 yard plunge being done by the FB and not HB, but I don't think you see it in the NFL quite as much as you do in the college game b/c it's not quite as automatic as a well blocked HB dive with a FB tank blocking for him. Kirtman's not making the team, he's not as good as Schmidt.

In other news, it looks like David "The Heater" Hawthorne is going to make the team.

I don't think morris is the best player on the field. Look, we've seen what he's capable of bringing to the table and he's best as a situational back - used on 3rd downs, draws, passing plays, etc. He's not very effective as a starter, imo.
I think if Mo MO was used more like Westbrook is in Philly, we could expend him to his full abilities: a skat back/flanker type

You all are crazy throwing Holmgren's "job in jeapordy" and as far as I know.

This team, coach and office included (especially Tim Ruskell, remember what the defense was like when he got here?) have earned my trust, they'd have to mess things up pretty bad to lose it b/c they get it right the overwhelming majority of the time.

My bad, should've known you were better than that.

But if Jones ends up starting, I don't think Holmgren would be doing that to make Ruskell look better. Ruskell doesn't need much image protecting, he is extremely well regarded in Seattle and for good reason.

i cant say too many bad things about the seahawks....theyve been dominate in thier division for a minute....they have deep playoff runs, made it to the superbowl all in the last few years and there allways overlooked...

the team might be going backwards with thier aging offense but there still probally the best in the division and might be next year...all the teams in their divison except are in horrible shape..

The offense is actually a little younger than it was last year, w/ Jones replacing Alexander, Chris Grey retiring and no more stone hands Marcus Pollard at TE, we've got John Carlson in there a rookie. And at WR we wont' be younger once things get rolling, but in September they'll be extremely young.

The O is younger, it might not be as good as it was in the 2003 and 2005 seasons, but it's not b/c of aging. They're really aging badly at 2 spots there, QB and LT, and I'll take the two guys we've got playing there well into their late 30s and maybe even 40s if they're up to it.
