Man on fire...

Solid flick with denzel 7/10

Synopsis: John Creasy (Denzel Washington) is a lost soul. A former government operative, he has become an alcoholic nomad, searching for inspiration and redemption. An old friend (Christopher Walken) who... John Creasy (Denzel Washington) is a lost soul. A former government operative, he has become an alcoholic nomad, searching for inspiration and redemption. An old friend (Christopher Walken) who lives in Mexico gets Creasy a job as a bodyguard for nine-year-old Lupita "Pita" Ramos (Dakota Fanning), the daughter of Mexican Samuel (Marc Anthony) and his American wife Lisa (Radha Mitchell). Creasy's primary job is to protect Pita from the kidnapping attempts that are an increasing menace to the children of Mexico City's wealthy. A man of few words and many secrets, Creasy initially balks at Pita's attempts to befriend him, but soon a bond grows between the precocious child and this lonely man who is tormented by his past. When Pita is kidnapped despite Creasy's valiant attempts to save her, he will do anything to bring all of those involved to justice. His fury unravels a net of almost unimaginable corruption and greed in the process. Director Tony Scott (TOP GUN, CRIMSON TIDE) builds the relationship between Creasy and Pita in the first half of the film in order to justify Creasy's violent actions in the latter half, and in the process he does a fine job of keeping the film's tension consistently high.

Just watched Toyko Gore Police for the first time last night. Pretty good flick, kept me entertained throughout with the ample amounts of retarded blood and gore. The story/plot was actually pretty good considering the movie was meant to be kind of rediculous. Best part of the movie though was how fuckin fine the main girl was. Nothin like a sexy chick cuttin fools to pieces. I love this girl, she was good in "Audition" also.

Watched miikes audition recently. Given all
the hype I was getting I was let down a bit. It was good though. Whenever people start saying how AWESOME a movie is i should ignore them. It usually raises expectation too high.

Just got done watching The Unborn for the first time and the first thing that comes to mind is fuck David S. Goyer for making this piece of dogshit movie. I sat there for an hour and a half staring at the screen with a blank look on my face just praying the movie would fucking end already. It was sooo fuckin boring and full of plot holes. The only saving grace of this movie was how sexy the main girl was and of course her best friend was Meagan Good, so there was great eye candy. The last thing I gotta ask is what the fuck was Gary Oldman thinking by appearing in this piece of shit?

Watched The Hurt Locker last night. I really dont get why everyone thinks its so great. There was literally NO plot. The acting was great from the Jeremy Renner, but nothing else about the movie was worth 2+ hours of my time.

I watched "Kids" last night. It was almost like a documentary. Sometimes it felt like I was watching child porn and the actors sometimes didn't seem to know how to act (since this was the debut role of most of them). But it was still good nonetheless. The ending was unexpected but not a complete shocker. Overall it was good. 3.5/5

Yeah. That poster tells you EXACTLY what the movie is about: an excuse to see a girl in panties.

I really like Audition. But it does start out slow. Some people can't handle that. My sister's boyfriend was watching it with me the other day. We got maybe 30 minutes into it and he says, "Sorry, but this movie isn't catching me. I'm gonna go." Then when I told him that it's a horror movie, he decided to finish it. I'd mentioned it to him in advance, but he forgot apparently. And then when the end came, he was just confused. Some people are turned off unless the ending neatly wraps everything up and puts a little bow on it.

My sister and brother started watching it half way through (with me explaining what was going on.) In the end, they all thought it sucked. But they have difficulty looking beyond the surface.
